Oh, you probably just liked his big mustach and tight shorts.Shankara20 said:we could call it "Old Farts Remember....."

right, and you didn't! oh, thats right, no you didn't.DVS said:Oh, you probably just liked his big mustach and tight shorts.![]()

LMAO. And another Rockford Files Junkie here, as well. Stephen J. Cannell is probably one of the greatest television writers ever.Shankara20 said:right, and you didn't! oh, thats right, no you didn't.
*sigh* straight guys, go figure.....
I'll second that. I think he knows just how to write for the underdog, keep the story plot going and make a point at the end, almost like a moral. He's a real people writer, and that's what Jim Rockford was written as and how James Garner acted him as...real people.SpectreT said:LMAO. And another Rockford Files Junkie here, as well. Stephen J. Oh, I did, too. But, although he was quite good in that, too, I think he was better as Rockford. Maybe you are just more into cowboys and gun slingers, and I'm more into PIs.Ebonyfire said:I watched James Garner in Rockford files also. But I loved him in the original Maverick.
Yeah I am THAT old!

Well, I usually didn't look at that gun. So, I'll take your word for it...only because you are firm on it that he was firm.Ebonyfire said:No. His pants were tighter in Maverick. On that I am quite firm, and so was he many a time!
Back on track: "Yep, it's an answering machine all right. Should I do the usual? Okay, you've reached - "(cuts off)

Didja know?
Rockford was hunky in his day.

I think Shank was talking about Tom Sellek in tight white shorts, not James Garner.
Ebonyfire said:He is hunky in my book now. But I am a senior citizen.

Ebonyfire said:I don't care. Tom Selleck is a lightweight next to James Garner, and I am firm on that!

FurryFury said:Maybe so but he was hot in his day too.

He has a voice? I just put the TV on mute and watch him in his shorts.....Ebonyfire said:Yep men with dark hair, Hmmmmmmmmmmm. But Selleck's voice is what turns me off.
Doesn't have to. I just changed my message, and wanted to shareEbonyfire said:How come it has to get back on track when I post? Lord knows Shanky has highjacked many of my threads and no one seemed to mind. In fact, I bet he doesn't mind now. Sheesh.

King Con was the last novel of his I read - and truly enjoyed it, too.FurryFury said:He writes novels now.

And on the hunky guys track - Hugh Jackman and Russel Crowe are high points on my extremely short list of famous guys I would refer to as "hot" in public. Sellek and Garner both had their time, and their own charm, though. Sellek's voice was a little whiny, though...(or maybe Magnum was just written that way.)

and I'm firm when I do that....
ps - this thread is hijack friendly....
