Shayna Bradley, 19, medium length blonde hair, dark blue eyes and only 95lbs yet nice curves in all the right places. She had spent the last two weeks in the hospital after being badly beaten by her ex boyfriend. She had received several broken ribs, a mild concussion with 12 stitches in the back of her head, along with her face black and blue and practically unrecognizable. She had gotten all this because she had broken up with the man, 3 years her senior. She had been tired of the abuse he doled out but she had never thought he would have gone that far.
She had finally gotten out of the hospital and got to go home, but was restricted to bed rest for at least a week. Shayna was getting extremely fidgety and restless with having done nothing much in nearly 3 weeks. It was Friday morning and she decided she wasn’t waiting until Monday to go out, she was going to go to her favorite hangout tonight, no matter what.
“And what are you getting ready for, you can’t go anywhere….” her mother had begun to say, a bit irritated with her daughter.
“I’m going to the Spirits Hangout so I can see some of my friends. They probably think I’m dead or something by now.” Shayna remarked quite sarcastically.
“You’re not going anywhere young lady, not until it’s cleared with the doctor. Now put those things away and get back in bed. Remember it’s my roof you live under that way….”
“I have to follow your rules, yes I’ve heard that pretty often, but I am going out. Even if that means taking as much of my stuff as I can and moving out.”
“Just wait till your father hears how you’re talking to me. He probably will tell you to move out. Be reasonable Shay, it’s only a couple more days.”
“No mom, I’m going out tonight. If I have to stay in one more day I’m going to go absolutely crazy. My goodness, I‘m 19 years old, and what happened to me wasn‘t my fault. It‘s like you‘re punishing me for this.” Shayna finally said, her sarcasm gone for now.
Her mother stomped off and she shut her door, locking it this time. Then she took along hot shower, noticing that most of her bruises were gone and she wasn’t in any real pain. Of course she didn’t need to be touched too much since she was still pretty sore.
After her shower, she blow dried her hair and put on her make up, which covered the left over bruises. She put on her set of lacey blue bra and panties, then her tight blue jeans and cute little orange tank top that had a rather low rounded neckline, exposing the swell of her breasts nicely.
She sprayed on her favorite cologne, put on her 3 inch heels and checked her purse, making sure she had everything she needed. She really didn’t see what fear her mother had, after all, she was just going out for some much needed time with her friends.
“I’m leaving, I will be home before midnight, I promise,” she explained to her mother and father, both sitting in the living room.
“Take it easy and don’t be doing any drinking and driving,” her dad said, looking up for a just a moment from his newspaper.
She was glad nothing more was said and figured her mother hadn’t said anything to him, she rarely did.
She met her friends at Spirit, they were all standing around two small circular tables. There were a variety of friends both male and female, all hugging her and letting her know she was missed. They told her it had been in all the papers, even her picture and Clay Parker’s, the man that was arrested for assaulting her. When the waitress came round taking orders, she ordered a coke and Paula gave her a strange look.
“What no alcohol? I’ll drive you home if that’s what you’re worried about. I’m the driver tonight and I thought I’d be the only one drinking coke.”
“No, more like doctors orders, I’m still taking some medication and can’t drink with it. By the way, whose the knew bartender? I don’t remember him working here before.”
“Yes he is new, but I’ll let you find out any information on him yourself, he’s pretty much got all us girls turned on.” Paula stated and smiled.
Shayna stood sipping her coke and watched the bartender for a bit till she caught his eye. She didn’t turn her head away right away, but then her friend Dan asked her to dance and she had to look away. Although her mind was still on the sexy bartender, even though he was quite a bit older.
