why is my b now B in my name? it happened some time between 4am and 8am board time

It's called e-mail and a shift key. Try using both next time.

I know I'm not Laurel, Bobert, but did you by any chance update your profile with the new scripts?

The capitalization of handles has happened to a few other people today.

Hi Bobman...If you could email us these problems, it would make things easier. Feel free to post here if you need to, but we prefer the problems in email so we can forward them to our programmer who's working with us on this. Thanks for your feedback - the scripts are brand-new and will require some tweaking... :)

I'll check this out Laurel. I think I know what caused it. I'll e-mail you with what I find.

BT,
I think you used lower case to log in. It's not case sensitive to log in, but when it saved the changes It must use the string you entered to login instead of the string already in the record.

Wierd Harold I dont have a full clue what you just said but all i know is I always type my name lower case even my real name, its a low self esteem thing that in my mind I am not good enough to deserve the capitals

Then the either the script or the BB converts to "proper case" (which is how your name is now -- capitalized each word.)

It's a matter of how your name is stored on the server to match with what you type to login.

sounds good i think i dunno is there anyway to convince it i am not worthy of upper case?

Bobtoad shutup dont you think they are having a hard enough time dealing with the new scripts. Maybe they dont have time to really worry about your stupid problem with your self esteem which is really depressing if you deem yourself unworthy to a proper name

Whether BT's self-esteem needs to be fixed or not, it has revealed a possible "undocumented feature" of the scripts, and that is something that L&M need to tell their programmers.

Todd,
Go to your profile through the BB, check to make sure everything is the way you want it, and save the changes. That may change it back.

If it really bothers you, edit the capitalization when you post.

I've created several hundered profiles in the process of moving stories over - and don't ask me why I haven't mentioned it before, lol - but for some reason the script does capitalize the first letter of a username when you save the profile changes.

Ummm... guess it just didn't seem important to me, lol.

So would somebody just tell the toad to get over it! Oh guess I already did! Duh.

Sing it with me:

I love, I love, I love my calendar girl.
Sweet, sweet calendar girl.

Coolio - got your mail. We've emailed the programmer dude re: this capitalization thang, so it should be resolved at some point.

If y'all see anything else (and you will!) that's weird/funky/wrong, email me the details so we can get it resolved...

Me 2

I have noticed when I post my first post, the m is always in lower case, but my second post is always upper case.
It's not really a problem with me,but I have wondered why that happens.
