Question ... How does one get on the Authors Index list? I have noticed that there are many authors that are not on the Index ... is there a criteria used to determine who is placed on the index? I often try to share appreciation with authors that have written stories, but when I go back to locate them, they are not on the Authors Index. Anyhow, just wondering why?

Generally, only authors with 3 or more stories are on the index.

Ummm, after seeing this thread it occured to me that I hadn't ever checked the Author Index to see if I was on there, so I did...

...does it take more poetry submissions than story submissions to be included in that list? Just curious.

No. I have to add each author by hand, and sometimes I forget to do so. Strange, but true - I do f**k up every now and then... I'll make a note to add you. And if anyone else out there notices an author with 3+ stories who isn't on the Author Index, let me know.

For the newer authors (and for those stories posted within the last 3 months or so), the index isn't as crucial because you can find all of their stories simply by clicking on their name. Once we get the new system in place, and I don't have to run around the site opening up 10 files and making changes in order to add an author to the site because once I add it to once place the script automatically updates the rest, there won't be issues like this. As you can imagine, with a site like this in which I update the profiles, pics, and stories on a daily basis, shit will happen. Sorry.

For those who are interested (and even those who aren't, he he) Manu and I ar taking the day off tomorrow. Since we both quit our "real" jobs a month ago, we've been working on our freelance stuff and the site 10-12 hours a day, 7 days a week without taking any time out for ourselves (hence the grumpy message above..hehe). So, tomorrow we're going up to Melrose Avenue in LA to wander around, maybe buy some records or something. So after tomorrow, my mood should be much improved.

Dang! I'm in Atlanta this week, and Melrose Avenue is so darn close! I could have combed the street looking for you guys, not that I would be able to recognize you! Maybe I could have held up a sign that said, "Smile if you run an erotic website!"
