I hope Mal will reconsider. Someone made a mistake, and did so while acting in good will. That person has apologized. If someone had done something with malice that might be reason to leave.

Someone I admire a lot just left recently due in part to being very disappointed that a few individuals who this person considered friends and worthy of respect were seen joining a "lynch mob" in another forum. It didn't matter that the target of the mob deserved to be hanged - this good person deplores mobs and was just very dismayed by being disappointed in this way.

Another reason to leave would be because one had been targeted by something like this, which is rare and is the work of a single very bad apple.

Don't go over this, Mal. Please reconsider.

But I don't get why she's pissed. All I saw on that thread were a lot of people wishing Jammies well and a couple of people making silly suggestions about what the mysterious surgery could be for. If you start a thread saying that someone whom everyone adores is getting surgery, but we're not going to tell you what it's for, then you've got to expect people will speculate. And the speculations I saw appeared to be for their comic value. A way to tease Jammies in a friendly way. I just don't get why Mal got all het up over it unless there's another thread that I don't know about that has more stuff on it.

All I've seen else is some "Where is Mal?" talk. I have only this to work with, I'm afraid. Jammies is back on, and she seems 'way cheerful. Maybe Mal will de-funk and come around us again. We can hope.

Damn, I feel awful that I even asked. If I had known it would lead to this...I mean, that's why I dropped the issue when someone told me that Jammies didn't want to divulge it. Sorry that Mal felt that she had to leave. Wish she would think it over and return. I know that I have nearly left this site before, but I'm glad that I wised up and didn't go. We'll be missing her, I'm sure.
