Since I have been waiting for this all fortnight and I haven't seen a game all year(In OZ we apparently aren't good enough)

We won the championship and I listen to it all on net radio... spose that makes me a psyco fan or something.

LAKERS WIN !!! Time to celebrate in LA. Seems there tearing the town down now. No wonder the RAMS left!!! This all really makes no sense to me. I'm sure glad LA is over 1000 miles away.

Out here in Laker-land we are fairly pleased with this turn of events. I can't say that this came as any great surprise (for once, there wasn't too much bandwagon-jumping), but Indiana was more than game.

I have to admit, though, that my girlfriend (a HUGE fan) could scarcely watch many of the games, and had to hide during many of the uglier stretches. A thing of beauty may be a joy forever, but this one was better in the outcome than the process.

Unfortunately, a rematch is unlikely, as both teams are going to retool significantly -- Indiana may not even be recognizable by the start of next year.

The mob reaction was unfortunate, but hardly qualifies as the sacking of Rome. Compared to the annual rampages in Chicago after the Bulls championships, much less the ongoing football hooliganism in Europe, two wrecked cars and a couple broken windows are thin fare indeed.

Besides, we have higher standards for riots here in LA. We may be spoiled, but then again we have years of experience.

I myself cant stand the Lakers, but they clearly were the most dominant team this year. My hat is off to them, they deserved it. It truly was an interesting finals though!
