Ladies... tips on shaving, please?

Hi all...

I am fairly new here and am enjoying the posts so much! What a fun, juicy place..

I am considereing shaving, and wonder if anyone has any tips/advice? I have never shaved more than the bikini line before, though I do keep very trimmed.

Well I've been doinig it off & on ever since I was 14 & just got the hang of it...
What I do is use an electric razor.. you know one of those lady shavers that you can use anywhere on your body. It's very confortable & you don't have to worry about nicks (which realy hurt) & you can use it for both the trimming & the closer shaves until you get it a short as you want it to be..

Use a warm towel & place it over the area you want to shave... Do this periodically so that your skin won't get irritated... (hun I'm mexican & there is no specialized products for us & if there is I never found it)

TAKE YOUR TIME don't rush... this is a verry important area..

& I like to use Baby Oil right after & every day after that... it'll make the stubble grow back soft so you don't have to worry so much about ingrowns -ouch

Well I hated shaving..especially when the hair grows back..it is very bothersome. I just started getting my whole vaginal area waxed...heard of Brazlian Wax! The first time I did it..I was kind f nervous..but I loved the end result and so did my boyfriend. I have been doing it for about a year now and the hair is growing back slower and softer and in some areas it stopped growing. I dont know how much it might cost in your area but here in Miami it only cost $20 which also makes it affordable. Try it!! You will never go back to a razor.

Some comments from a guy

1) I have heard that some kind of antiseptic lotion/cream be used after shaving. To keep away the micro infections that often occur on a close shave. Peroxide may help? Especially in darker hair'd gals, it also bleaches the hair stubble and makes the skin look more clean shaven.

2) If a gal shaves just before a date, it kinda tells the guy: "I have been preparing for you"

3) I like to shave my face just befoe a date, to prevent her from having "beard burns" on her face, breasts, belly, inner thighs. So her shaving just before a date will help prevent me from having "pussy burns" on my face, neck, breasts etc. lol

4) while the gals are at it, the armpit. Freshly shaved, smooth is a very beautiful, erotic place for me. To nibble/butterfly kisses there, (before anitpersperants/antideoderants) -- I find especially enjoyable, IF the gal likes it too. To follow the muscles that eminate from there, like the pectoralis major. Enough said.

Well it's dependent on many things.. What exactly do you mean by "bush"?
Do you mean just enough so that it covers her? Or do you mean the lenth it is now? Does she usually trim it? If so, how frequently does she do this ? If she just wants a small tuft then it should only take about 2 weeks to grow back... The original bush would probably take a month... It also depends on how fast her hair grows... I usually shave once every two weeks because that way I get to experience both being completely bare & having a soft tuft of hair... Hope this helps some!

Well if you going to shave then try Bikini Zone..it stops the itch when the hair starts to grow back. But I would recommend Getting a brazilian wax...even when the hair grows back it doesnt grow as thick so it is actually soft to the touch if you let it grow out.

I second JailBait's vote for electric razor. I tried shaving with a regular razor before and the itching drove me crazy! I just use the pop-up triimmer and it gets close enough to make me and my man happy...and isn't that all that matters?

Walgreens, Walmart, and Target all carry Magic shave -- possibly not every store, but many of them do.

Ah Tips I Got From My GF

She told me to soak in a bath before I shaved and then when I am done I use hydrocortisone plus creme with moisturizers and aloe.

But after reading all this I am going to call a local place that does waxings and ask about it. I would love not to have to shave as often.

I know that for bikini area if you do laser it runs around $925 for all the needed treatments and that is a bit much right now but i am considering that also.

Try the waxing...and get it done professional..You will neva want to go back to shaving again. Word of Advice...do go in with a postive attitude..the first time can be a bitch. But you get use to it real quick.
