Things to do while waiting for your wife to dress
Ah, it's that time of year when the calendar fills with festivities and the challenge to look one's best while never repeating an ensemble poses prickly problems. So, what's a guy to do when his wife takes armfuls of clothes from her closet, tries them ALL on, tosses the rejects on the floor and then goes through the entire process all over again, hummmm? Well, rather than watch the clock - 'cause it's only going to remind me how late we're going to be - I grab the camera, of course, and then get booted out of the room 'cause I'm "in the way" (who, me?).
So, clearly this is going to take some time - maybe enough to grab some brushes and oil paints and just dabble a bit.
Yeah, well, ok . . . not ready yet . . . so maybe I'll just doodle a little with pen
and ink. . . . .
What's that you say dear, almost ready? Hmmmm . . wonder if that means I have time to break out a slab of marble and a chisel. Nah, I'll save that one for New Year's Eve.
You know, some say that getting there is half the fun. In my house it's the getting ready to get there. Enjoy.
