I don't know if this is considered a " pick up " line - but my ex caught my attention. When he came up to me and told me " you have beautiful eyes...".
Of course I rolled my eyes - and gave him a hard time all that night. But then I did end up going to have breakfast with him in the wee hours of the morning as the clubs closed.

I fell for the oldest line in the world, "What's your sign?" By the shop clerk at a metaphysical book store. Showing a genuine interest in astrology, or anything I am really into for that matter, reels me in every time.
Same thing applies for how I met my husband. Except I was the one with the line. Well, maybe not a line, per say, but I definitely used my influence as a the manager of the store (where we met). I was the assistant manager of a porn store and he and his buddy came in to look around. I wanted to meet him so I just started talking to him about porn. When I was met with looks of, "Who is this strange pink-haired girl with a million piercings that is talking to me in a sex store??" I said, "Oh, its okay, I'm the manager of the store." Tensions eased and we started talking about porn. Something we both still love to this day.
