I have tried convincing many ladies for online chats. I mean chats, not cam. But as of now, not one of them has agreed. Just setting this poll up to see if women here on Lit like chat. Do reply. And yes, interested women, read my bio and contact me.

I'm perfectly fine with chatting on Yahoo but when I say chatting, I mean just that... Chatting and getting to know one another, NOT cybering. Just like with real-world sex, I have no desire to talk about nothing but sex or cyber with someone I have not established some kind of connection with.

I am a T-girl myself but I have answered the pole saying yes.

If you read my profile you will see that I tell people specifically not to PM me in order to chat on-line with me. You will find many women including T-girls do this, and this is because we get bombarded with chat requests from people even when we make it clear the we are not interested. If I get a pm from a stranger requesting a chat I just delete it, I don't even look up the profile of the person who sent it.

So why did I say yes?

The answer is that I do like chating to friends on-line but they have to be exactly that, friends.

That means that we start by communicating on the forums, and after a period of getting to know each other through the threads we start PMing and after a period of messaging each other somebody might suggest chatting on-line or even exchanging telephone numbers.

This in my mind is how an on-line relationship should develop, just like in the real world. I mean most people would not just go up and start speaking to a stranger with no pretext.

I think you will find that most women feel the same way as I do about this so I suggest you try building up a relationship in the way I suggested before PMing women and asking to chat.

Good luck :)

Very sound advice. Thank you, Hottchic.

Quality sexual roleplaying or cowriting, yes. Intelligent discussion of non-sexual topics, sure. Cybersex, no, not even slightly interested in doing that unless it was with a guy I already had some sort of relationship with.

I do like chatting, yes. Its fun and I feel pretty safe doing it. But I dont like the people who are constantly begging you to cam , cyber, or send pics. Even after I put up a note on my profile, I still get requests...
*sigh*

I like hot chat or PMs with Dominant men who know how to take control, and know how to write. And include a psychological element to their stories.

I can't STAND people who write things like "hey" Or "how are you?". "Sup" or "ASL?" will get you INSTANTLY ignored. i have enough boring conversations in my real life, i don't need to have them online too.

+1 :rose:

When I first started I chatted with a couple but then more people got my screen name and they would IM me and be silent because
1)we had nothing in common or just poor communicators.
2) they automatically thought I was going to cyber with them.
Besides do you know how annoying it is to get hit up for cam during African Literature class? Over time I have become very wary and just severed ties with all of them (Over 1.5 years ago) as well as warned others to not contact me at all. Now if a person with less than 100 responses contacts me through lit I usually ignore the message.

I don't mind chatting online but just b/c I may oblige a chat request doesn't mean I want to chat exclusively about sex, or have someone asking me what I'm wearing, if I'm masturbating, if I'll roleplay, etc.,

Further if I chat w/ someone I want my mind stimulated - and so far I've only found a handful of guys that are capable of doing so
