YOUR 2003 HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS!!!!
2003roster.jpg

Ever since I was a little kid watching the cartoon on Saturday mornings, I have always always wanted to see these guys. The first team played in 1927...and now in 2003, I got to take my kids and myself to see them. It was a blast!!

Cool. I took my kids to see them about 10 years ago, maybe longer.
The woman who was on the team then gave my daughter her wristband.
It was a fun time.

Hey...I just noticed that you "have a code"... what happens if someone cracks it?

I think he already has a crack...

And I do think there was a female Globetrotter.. I'm sure of it.

NuHuh...not tonight there wasn't...but yes, I do remember some rumor of a woman somewhere along the Globetrotter road to the Hall of Fame.

Didn't Cheryl Miller, sister of Reggie and sports broadcaster play with the Globetrotters a few years ago...? On a side note, I saw them in 1980 and remember it well.

1985

Media around the world report on the Harlem Globetrotters signing the first female player, Olympic Gold Medallist Lynette Woodard. The Smithsonian Institute's National Museum of American Social History honors the Globetrotters with their own exhibit on permanent display. The Institute cites the team as "An Important Part of American Social History."

1989

Fans in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, came to see the Harlem Globetrotters for the first time. Actress-comedian Whoopi Goldberg was named as an honorary Harlem Globetrotter, joining Dr. Henry Kissinger (1976) and Bob Hope (1977) to receive that accolade

Hi Mia...hope you are well. It looks like freakygurl is a fountain of knowledge on the Trotta's.

If you'll look closely, you'll see the code has been partially cracked.
