Koch Goes Deep State, Bails On The Don.

DeSantis is the Republicans' best bet for 2024.
And DT knows it which is why he announced so early and keeps threatening to leave the party. Which if he does throws all his "America first" mantra out the window because he knows if he splits the party he's handing it to the Dems.

But all his brain dead followers are now calling every republican who don't kiss his ring a "rhino" and won't back them....then they wonder why they didn't get the predicted red wave. The Trump backed candidates mostly lost. Then they cry about it and blame everyone else.

Koch and others are now playing the same game showing him he doesn't have the support he thinks he has.

But there will be enough of them to cost the GOP 2024 rather than the entire party get behind Desantis.

Or....we can all just vote for Tulsi and fuck both asshat parties

During the 2016 Republican primary campaign Trump ran as someone who cared about those who had been left behind by the economic changes of the twenty-first century. I even read somewhere that he said he would raise taxes on the rich "so high my rich friends won't talk to me." I have not found that comment on the internet, but it captures the flavor of what Trump tried to sell as his appeal.

Someone called Trump "a third party candidate running as a Republican." So what did Trump do when he was elected? He cut taxes for the rich.

Trump used the Ronald Reagan playbook: he appealed to lower middle class whites and working class whites on the basis of social issues, while pursuing economic policies that made the rich richer.

The Democrats made it easier for him by talking about de funding the police, defending affirmative action, and claiming to be "open" to racial reparations. Democrat leaders appeared to be angrier about the death of George Floyd than the George Floyd riots, which cost an estimated two billion dollars in damage.

Many Democrats seem to care more about a poor ghetto black man with several felony convictions and several illegitimate children he does nothing to support than about a poorly paid white man who works hard at a job he dislikes in order to support his wife and legitimate children.

My simple-minded opinion: Trump was elected in 2016 because his opponent, Hillary Clinton, was unacceptable to a larger segment of the voters.

Trump benefited from being an outsider with messaging that resonated with middle class voters and a very crowded field in 2016.

He’s now carrying the badge of a loser to the weakest of weak Democratic candidates in 2020. His post-election tantrum and his role in helping the GOP underperform in 2022 won’t be forgotten either. And this time GOP field does not appear to be nearly as crowded as 2016. DeSantis is the leading alternative, and Tim Scott will be strong in SC which is an early primary battleground. Pompeo, Haley, and Pence might become contenders but I have my doubts. Instead of 16 or 17 viable candidates, it’s probably going to be 5 or 6 this time.

The Koch organization had a hand in fueling the radical right “republicans” which ultimately saddled the country with the corrupt orange traitor who proceeded to destroy democratic / American values and ideals and the country, so it’s only fair that they have a hand in destroying the “republican” party.

Besides, the Koch organization got everything they wanted out of the “republican” party and their low education voters (MAGAts). - What do they care if the “republican” party as it is now constituted crashes and burns.

I’m guessing they realize they’ve lost control of the monster they helped create, and are now attempting to mitigate the damage their monster is causing.

Koch Bros. astroturfed the shit out of that Tea Party nonsense. That's where this shit started. They collected all those nuts in one place, validated all their looney beliefs, and let them elect every grifter, hustler, and snake oil salesmen they could find. They got their tax breaks and regulations repealed but now we have a country run by raving lunatics.

THE SECRET ORIGINS OF THE TEA PARTY

How Big Oil and Big Tobacco partnered with the Koch brothers to take over the GOP

Charles and David Koch—who, if their individual fortunes were combined in one place, would quite possibly represent the wealthiest person on earth—have almost certainly spent or raised more than a billion dollars to successfully bend one of the two national parties in America to their will. The long rise of the Tea Party movement was orchestrated, well funded, and deliberate. Its aim was to break Washington.

How Big Oil and Big Tobacco partnered with the Koch brothers to take over the GOP

I've been saying that for years out of the Tea Party: Part of the reason it was successful was the Koch Brothers and the wealthy elites marketed it as a rebellious, blue collar movement: "Stick it to the elites. Stick it to the Deep State! Take back our government." I can see the appeal to those who really don't look to hard to see who is pulling the strings.

"Stick it to the elites/deep state?" It was ORCHESTRATED by the deep state! (i.e. wealthy capitalists such as the Koch Brothers) and the elites. "Take back our government?" By whipping up the mob into a frenzy that they vote against their own self interests. "Lower taxes" (But not for the poor and middle class.) Education? (Lets cut it.) "We don't need no stinking health, safety and environmental regulations." (Because smog and polluted water taste/smell great!) And, of course, the undercurrent of racism directed against the sitting president at the time who was non-white.

People were manipulated into voting against their own interests by the rich and powerful, who sold it as a rebellion against the very people who were pulling the strings. And they bought into it, and it worked.

Was it their decision to not spend money on Trump in 2016 that created the monster? Or was it their advocacy of criminal reform during the Trump administration? Or perhaps their advocacy for giving Dreamers a pathway to citizenship?

BabyBoobs may well be the worst RWCJ “member” when it comes to knowledge and reading comprehension.

And that ^ is saying a lot.

The Koch organization’s funding, development, and manufacturing of the far right is well documented. Tea Party anyone???

And despite the Koch organization’s fig leaf of PUBLICIZING their distancing from the corrupt orange traitor in 2016, there are these inconvenient truths:

Hope that ^ helps BabyBoobs

The Koch organization got their tax cuts and their Supreme Court justices, along with a slew of other federal judges.

Not a bad ROI.

Their cynical and self serving social justice “efforts” were just additional fig leaves.

You are too funny. Your article summarizes how the Kochs support Republicans, especially those with libertarian leanings. Gee what a revelation! They mobilized GOP voters during the Obama administration which, with Obama’s help, led to big wins in the House, Senate, state Governor races and state legislatures. And in 2016, while sitting on the sidelines in the presidential race, the Koch brothers mobilized GOP voter turnout across the country. You dodged my questions so I’ll assume you approved of the Koch’s support for criminal justice reform and Dreamers but are bitter over tax code reform and the outstanding federal judges that were confirmed. Tell you what…I’ll shed a tear for you when I go to the range next weekend and do my taxes next month. 😂

Some background: Fred Koch helped found the John Birch Society. The family made its money in oil. Charles Koch is 87 years old.

I wonder how much have they prepared for an economic crash with hyperinflation, can they adapt to changing circumstances, etc. The third generation of tremendous wealth might be shit outta luck in resilience. The loss of American hegemony skyrockets the price of imported crude. An old money oil refining family looks like a paper tiger for the next few years.

WHAT "Koch brothers criminal justice reform"? Honestly, I haven't heard a thing about this,

BabyBoobs gets called out for failing at reading comprehension and then immediately fails again.

Apology and offer of unconditional surrender accepted.

They also don't care about the systemic racism that has been going on for generations in every major city they run. The full slogan is Black Lives matter, but only if we can politicize them. Sorry single black mom who's 11 year old daughter was killed in a drive by, her life doesn't matter.
Are you claiming systemic racism doesn't exist in every major city in the US? Because it sure seems like that, from your post.

The thing you idjits miss is that there's an overlord class and they stir the pot so bootlickers like you will get all up in arms over something meaningless.

Whether the Koch bros back Trump or not isn't going to change anything. They'll still be super rich, you'll still be stupid, and the next President will be hated by half the country.

And she STILL lost the election to Trump.

Just like Hillary you tried and lost.
Can you stop being an imbecile for just one freaking day, Derpy?
Most of us know how elections work.

Unlike some...
