The most important thing is to use the language as much as possible. Read, chat, listen, talk... You learn without even thinking about it.

And frankly people are used to not everyone using the language perfectly. I have seen so many native speakers stumbling on spelling, especially on homonyms (words that sound the same), that I don't even bat my eye on it anymore.
