How's the NZ contingency of Lit doing? Everyone OK? No one from Christchurch? Family members? Friends?

Just drop a note here and let us know you're well post-quake.

Posted on Bandit's thread this morning, but still no word from her. Hope her loved one are all OK.

Gil popped in to answer my post on their thread and Bandit's family are OK, though she had a bit of a wait in getting them on the phone....must have been stressful.

Do you have friends or family there?

My cousins are ok, so are their babies, so are their houses. At least one was at work - the place was wrecked, filing cabinets 'flying around'. She stayed at work on her break instead of running an errand into a building where some people died.

Of course I am sorry about the deaths but glad to hear your loved ones are OK. :rose:

I think he lives in Auckland, fair way from Christchurch.

I posted info in my thread, everyone's ok it'll just be a question of getting power, water and sewage fixed. Their houses held up well no cracks or missing bits although Mum did say a bookcase toppled over and her china cabinet stuff got rattled around.

A few army guys and girls were on standby outside the city last night. Several aftershocks have knocked further lumps of masonry off buildings. The Christchurch cathedral is half collapsed, and an 11story apartment building is shifting significantly on its foundations. Apparently it has sunk a metre.

Thats pretty much the deal all across town, so theyre being prudent/cautious.'

EDIT: at least a few. a few that i know and have heard from.
