Does anyone know if our stories can be loaded to a kindle? If so, how? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Don't think there's any easy way to do it from the Literotica postings. I'm sure some sort of copy-paste and saving in the right document format would work, but that would be a pain for multi-page stories.

I had enough requests from readers that I started releasing all my stuff as .rtf and Kindle compatible .prc downloads on my website.

In chrome or Firefox you can load a web page to kindle: http://www.amazon.com/gp/sendtokindle

It can do 3 lit pages at a time, but it has a nasty habit of repeating chunks of a story. I use it all the time, but the repeating is a pain. (I have a kindle paper white).

Sometimes it's easier to copy and paste. A word document works better on my kindle than a PDF. I send it to my kindle email and it loads right up.

I used to use a program called Calibre for this. I'd save my story files to HTML, then have Calibre convert them to Mobipocket (.mobi) files. Kindles are supposed to read HTML files, but I could never get mine to look right in that format.

Anyway, once you have a format the Kindle can read, and Mobi works well for that, you should be able to connect your Kindle to the computer and just copy it. You could also email it to the Kindle email address; I think you're assigned one when you get a Kindle. I have rarely used mine, though.

I just saw this same question in another forum, and I answered something like this: I've read that some Kindles are Android-based. The Literotica Android app will pre-load about a dozen stories. I exploit this on my Vizio tablet. If your Kindle is Android, try the LIT app, hey?

Or like Penn said...Calibre.

I am using it to convert all my stories to .mobi and .epub formats so when friends ask to see one I can send them a version that will load on their Kindle or Tablet.

There is also this

http://ebook*******-convert.com/

copy the story into a word doc then convert to mobi or e-pub if you have a nook or whatever.

Of course as someone who sells e-books on amazon its disheartening in the sense that here is another way for people with a kindle to never have to pay for anything they want to read.

Understood.

I've gone to the method of posting stuff for sale first then after a few months when sales die out I'll post a story here out of loyalty to the readers who supported me here and gave me the confidence to publish in the first place.

yeah... a story here gets 4000 views in 2 days... that's a lot of traffic and I get ZERO from it... can't even link to my amazon author page...

this site will be getting about 1% of my content ;)

You can put a link in your profile, although I don't think it will actually link. People would have to cut and paste the link.

I like that.

copy and paste to word. then 'save as' plain text document.

with kindle device attached to the comp, i then drag and drop the file into the kindle documents folder.

You can put a link in your sig...I do, nothing has ever been said about them. Of course they go to my websites which in turn go to Smashwords but there is a link to my Amazon Authors page.

I'm sure I've seen the OP on SOL and doubtless he has passed the submission threshold that gives Premium membership. In which case problem solved, submit to SOL the story will be available in PDF, txt, epub, and mobi formats for download. The account can be set to send a chosen story direct to your kindle.

For non contributors this feature alone would make it worthwhile paying for premium membership since you can take your stories with you and read them when you want, without the need for a net connection.

No I don't work for SOL it's just a workable solution for the OP

Thanks Geronimo and others, my sister is always reading her Kindle. She's not teck savvy and can't sit at the computer screen very long. I passed the first suggestions on to her but she didn't know what to do. She can copy and paste I'm pretty sure.
Thanks all
