Good evening sweetie. I'm sorry to hear you haven't found them and will have to order new ones. :( Hope the new ones arrive quickly.

I've had to make sure I have had and scarf as well as gloves with me now as the temps are forecast to get below zero this week.

Hope you've had a wonderful weekend. :D

LOL....

That would be something else.

Good morning {{{{{Shagly}}}}}

Yes that would be.

Hope you are having a good one. We got six inches of the white stuff yesterday. Hope you didn't get too much from it. Keep warm and safe hon.

NASA Unveils New Airplane Design Concepts

(CANVAS STAFF REPORTS) - The next generation of commercial airplanes might look more like sleek military aircraft than the traditional tube-shaped planes of the past decades.

And they also might be far more energy efficient and produce less noise, among other differences from their counterparts of today.

"Each aircraft has to be able to do all of those things at the same time, which requires a complex dance of tradeoffs between all of the new advanced technologies that will be on these vehicles," according to a release from NASA .

NASA has unveiled three concept designs for aircraft that could be ready to fly by 2025. NASA appears to want development of a line of super-planes that are larger, faster, quieter and burn fuel slower and cleaner than today's commercial aircraft.

NASA late last year awarded contracts to Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and The Boeing Company to conduct research and tests of NASA's concepts during 2011.

Each concept has to fly up to 85 percent of the speed of sound, cover a range of about 7,000 miles and carry a payload of between 50,000 and 100,000 pounds, which can be either passengers or cargo, according to NASA.

Fastcompany.com offered a critique of the three designs.

• The Boeing design :
This concept is a part-winged, part lifting-body vehicle. It would feature a very large internal area for carrying hundreds of passengers or many tons of cargo. Engines on this design would be mounted on top of the rear body flap to better protect them from the ground. Fastcompany.com noted that Boeing would have to persuade passengers to "enjoy flying inside a huge room with no windows."

• Northrop Grumman design :
Fastcompany.com described this design as having a dual-fuselage concept that allows for a much larger cargo volume using more conventional aircraft designs. Noise pollution would be maintained by partly shielding the engines with the plane's twin bodies. The Northrop Grumman model also would provide passengers with windows.

• Lockheed Martin
The Lockheed concept is the most aesthetically attractive of the three, according to Fastcompany.com. It features an aircraft body design like current aircraft but with unusual aerodynamic advances in the vehicle's wing and engine. This model has a single giant engine located in the tail of the aircraft, which could create less noise downward to the ground.

Welcome back {{{{{Shagly}}}}} :kiss::heart:

It is a tad late for real coffee. Well it is for me. Hope it doesn't keep you up all night. :)

Well I need to leave coffee alone late at night.

It is 2:30 A.M. and bedtime for Bonzo.
