Kayte appreciation thread

And now I'm doing a bit of thinking about flying and all of the people I have known.

I was getting some physical therapy at a clinic. I have continued using their equipment for a monthly fee. One of the women who work there used to work at the airport where I got my training. We do talk about it, the people we knew.

It was just Monday I took her the picture that I used to make my AV. She thinks my plane was prettier than the one they had at their flight school. Better color scheme.

I also told her what happened to it. Today I took a copy of the FAA reports on the accident that destroyed it. I had to sell it many years ago when my medical problem made it impossible to continue flying. It was sold to some people in CA. They must have sold it as it belonged to someone else.

That owner and her husband, both pilots ran it out of gas! The report stated they were both seriously injured, I'm sorry for that and that the plane was destroyed.

She was surprised at what goes in to one of the formal reports as she said she never looked at one of them.

Flying is still the most fun one can have with their clothes on:D

What a waste of a great plane! :(

I think so too. I do hope they both recovered from their injuries.

I do too.
We lost those people just a couple of months ago
they were civies working with Sp Ops on a night flight training mission.
Sadly things happen with planes. scary enough without the dips & sworls huh?

Sorry about those people lost with Sp Ops, night flying is quite challenging at any time. I've never found flying scary. Challenging, yes, exhilerating even.

Although I have heard a general description of flying is hours and hours of boredom, interjected with moments of sheer terror. :)

Peeks in waves Good Morning & blows :kiss:s to "Kayte" & whoever else wants some :)

Dang girl... I'll never be able to live back up there.
All these layeres of clothes & my coffee staying warm for 10 minutes sure bites!

Stay Warm!!!! :rose:

18 Deg. F. in the daytime and down to zero in the dark hours has me wanting to run away from home anywhere South of here.

I still wonder what the January heating bill will be.

Hey, what's your sign? You better double check

Has your horoscope been really off? It may not be the astrologer's fault. It may be the universe's.

Fort Myers' NBC affiliate WBBH reports that according to astronomer Parke Kunkle, Earth is in a different spot in relation to the Sun, and its equatorial alignment has changed, from 3,000 years ago when the study of astrology began -- back when 12 zodiac signs were assigned to 12 different periods of the year.

Astrological signs are different now because the Earth's wobble on its axis has created a one-month bump in the alignment of the stars, according to Kunkle.

"Because of this change of tilt, the Earth is really over here in effect and Sun is in a different constellation than it was 3,000 years ago," Kunkle is quoted as telling WBBH.

The shifting around has created a 13{+t}{+h} sign in the constellation Ophiuchus, the serpent bearer.

Here are the new signs:

Capricorn: Jan. 20 - Feb. 16

Aquarius: Feb. 16 - March 11

Pisces: March 11- April 18

Aries: April 18- May 13

Taurus: May 13- June 21

Gemini: June 21- July 20

Cancer: July 20- Aug. 10

Leo: Aug. 10- Sept. 16

Virgo: Sept. 16- Oct. 30

Libra: Oct. 30- Nov. 23

Scorpio: Nov. 23- Nov. 29

Ophiuchus: Nov. 29- Dec. 17

Sagittarius: Dec. 17- Jan. 20

While this is bad news for everyone who's been getting bad advice from their horoscope, it may be good news for people who make items with zodiac signs on it: their product line has just expanded.

{{{{{{{Starry}}}}}} :kiss::heart:

I've always known I am/was a Capricorn on the cusp. I've always read both, for whatever they are worth. And I've always thought the Sagitarian one made more sense. So now this just moves me fully into Saggitarius. :D

*Pulls up computer chair with popcorn.*

What is Starry up to?

Good evening {{{{{{Shagly}}}}}} :kiss::heart:

Swiping a handful of the popcorn. ;)

Hope you are all thawed out from your snow blowing and from your drive to and from your dental appointment.

And the results are? :)

No cavities.

I somehow was talked into watching my sisters kids today at 2:00 P.M. so I am trying to figure out a way to keep them busy, I hid the crayons so I have to watch them when they draw, no writing on the wall this time.

TGIF {{{{{{{Shagly}}}}} :kiss::heart:

Thank you for checking up on me last night. I just had things I needed to do so I wasn't online.

I am hoping you have made your place child proofed by now. It is less than an hour before they will be there.

The kids are sleeping after having me standing in the snow for a hour watching them play.

I defrosted my feet in hot water when we came back in.

Hoping you are all warmed up! And getting a bit of time to rest. Maybe if you get them to nap? ;) Good luck sweetie.

In a few minutes my sister picks them up.

It is 4.8 Deg. F. outside so I am sleeping with the kitties tonight.:cattail:

Hi Kayte thought I would drop by and wish you well
On the sign thing I am way to stubborn to not be a Taurus

How nice to see you. :) I guess we are all going to have to do what works for us. All my life I've been told I'm a Capricorn on the cusp with Saggitarius.
I've always thought the Saggitarian one fit me better anyway. For whatever any of it is really worth.

Hope you are keeping safe and warm and are having a bit of fun while you aren't working.

Laundry time on a Saturday is here.

It is cold outside so I am stuck inside.

Oh, well I am going to start cleaning the bedroom.
