Kansas elects a democrat

I can't believe that this backward, conservative state elected this person:

A democrat
A woman
A native American
A lesbian

Oh, and New Mexico elected a native woman too

...and Colorado has a gay governor. And Zach Wahls won a spot in the Iowa Senate.

Some impressive performances by LGB folk and allies!

And finally Arizona election is done and we have an openly bisexual senator.
Maybe there is hope after all.

Not to be a downer, but the electoral college picture is still pretty grim for Dems for 2020. The takeaway from all of this is that everyone has to get out and vote. There really are more of us than them...but so many just won't take it seriously enough to vote. A non-vote is in fact a yes vote ...for the person you sat at home and didn't want to win  In 2020, unless something wonderful intervenes, a non-vote will be a YES vote for the same guy we have in the White House right now...
