GOP pollster on Trump-Harris: ‘I haven’t seen anything like this’

Luntz, who’s been called “The Nostradamus of pollsters” and conducts focus groups, had been bullish on Trump defeating Joe Biden and returning to the White House. Now, he says, he can’t believe what he’s seeing among his focus groups and in the polls.

“She’s bringing out people who are not interested in voting for either Trump or Biden, so the entire electoral pool has changed and if it continues in this direction you have to start to consider Democrats winning the Senate and Democrats winning the House,” Luntz said Wednesday on CNBC.

“She’s got intensity now. She’s got an intensity advantage. She’s got a demographic advantage and I haven’t seen anything like this happen in 30 days in my lifetime,” he said. “Now my groups are broken up by young women saying, ‘I’m not voting for him anymore.’”

He added: “The people who are undecided have all collapsed towards Harris. The people who are ‘weak’ Trump have all collapsed towards undecided.”

The indication at the moment is that they won't be voting Orange.

russia's pet name for trump could be "Agent Orange"; this seems apt:

Production of Agent Orange ended...and is no longer in use. Exposure causes Agent Orange effects, which include cancer, congenital (birth) disorders and life-threatening health complications

Latest polling has Vice President Kamala Harris surging in Florida right now. A new poll released by a top pollster in Florida, FAU, has the Vice President within two points of Donald Trump in the sunshine state.

In a head to head matchup with Trump, Kamala Harris is at 47% while Trump comes in at 50%. When RFK Jr. is added into the mix, the poll tightens with Harris earning 45% of the vote and Trump earning just 47%.

also:
Floridians overwhelmingly favor two ballot initiatives that would codify the right to abortion rights into the state's constitution and legalize marijuana access in the state.

On 538 Polls, the only recent national poll which has Trump leading Harris is sponsored by DailyMail.com.

Love it.

Regarding Trump's "lead" in Nevada, the polls almost always show Republicans slightly ahead there and they usually lose by a few points. I don't know why - it should be a relatively easy state to poll, with most of the population in two geographically compact metropolitan areas, but it's been that way for over a decade at least.

Lol ...what is so difficult about the vice president replacing a President who stepped down to understand?

If Trump stepped aside, would you not be ok with JD being endorsed and replacing him? Or would you demand another primary?
First, I realize this was addressed to another raging lit person, but I wanted to contribute $0.02 worth of support!

I would be thrilled if the mentally challenged 78-year-old felon stepped aside and would gasp at the thought of a weird VP selected for the fact that he was an irrelevant piece of lint in his boss' view, might feel he was next in line. I'd demand another primary for sure if I was a Republican! JD Vance's chance of winning would be so embarrassing it would tank the party further than it already has.

But, then, I'm not voting Republican... but I could enjoy your wildly provocative suggestion. :D

I don’t believe there is an official thread yet. I’m not show tuney enough for Shiny Girl’s thread.

I’m loving the enthusiasm, the record breaking fundraising. Don’t let anyone down play that. The volunteers she has at her finger tips. She’s a machine and the was brought on by people donating small amounts of money. Plus, 60% of her donors were first time donors. Then there is this
Big Kamala supporter here and the race is on. Volunteers, new young voters, republicans fleeing 45/34, and, if Taylor Swift endorses Kamala, it's OVER

Great reply!

I do realize that the Harris and Trump proposals to eliminate tax on tips have some significant differences. However, why would it be a bad thing for both parties to support a similar proposal on some particular issue? The election is not a contest to come up with the most original policy ideas, and sharing of proposals that are popular with the public should be applauded, I would think.
To normal people, it would not be a bad thing for a shared proposal. Your thoughts are admirable in thinking sharing is a good thing.

But you are asking about a man who is a narcissist and would snatch the last stick of gum out of your hand without a reticent thought. Trump views it as an outright theft, and that Harris would get some credit for it would literally drive him nuts.

I don't have a tips job, so I only checked a tax site instead of reading the whole bill. But maybe you have a better source. Regardless of which law has that tax, what is stopping her from repealing that tax now? She can propose it to Congress and dare the tax-hating Pubs to refuse a tax elimination.
A build-the-wall border bill was proposed and shot down by Republicans because Trump said so. He didn't want Biden to get credit for it. And you think they will pass a bill to repeal the tax law and give her credit for it now during an active election?

Are you weird or what?

Evangelicals for Harris launch ad aimed at swing-state Christians, quoting trump:

The organization, made up of Evangelical Christians who are mobilizing support for Vice President Kamala Harris this November, released the ad on Wednesday morning.

The ad features a clip of an interview between GOP pollster Frank Luntz and Donald Trump during the Family Leadership Summit in 2015. There, Luntz asked Trump if he had ever sought God’s forgiveness. Trump called it a tough question, telling Luntz, “I’m not sure I have.”

The ad then cuts to a screen of text: “Is there any greater denial of Christ than to say, ‘I do not need his forgiveness?’”

Show me the times he "slavishly" flattered "fascist dictators." Then, show us a time when Biden didn't act like a fascist dictator. When you're done I'll ask you about Tampon Tim and his support for Oct. 7th supporting Muslim cleric who promotes Hitler:

Do I really need to post the videos about him saying that he and Kim Jong-Un fell in love? Or how intelligent and what a great leader Putin is? Or how President Xi is straight out of Central Casting as a strong leader? He has been licking these guys' ass cracks since he got into office. I know that doesn't bother you, but it bothers real American patriots.

4 years ago she didn't have the legs to reach the first primary. I expect her to faceplant in October, but I would not be surprised to see that happen at the convention next week.
For the life of me IDK why people feel this is a valid argument. Harris has a history. The Biden administration successes are hers as well. She sat in on the planning and added input on all the bills. She, overseeing the Senate, cast the decisive vote for every one of the bills that have led to the US seeing unequaled economic growth. That’s just as much her record as is Biden’s. She’s one heartbeat from the presidency and is qualified for the position. Now, let’s take a look at trump’s 4 year record. 1 legislative accomplishment. One! I’ll even set aside all his corruption and pending legal issues and can make the argument that he’s too old for the office and is in cognitive decline which makes the vp choice of Vance even more troubling because Vance has only been serving one hot minute and has no real leadership experience. He co-signed along with Senator Warnock the bill lowering insulin prices which is now something his running mate is dementedly now taking credit for. Someone should ask him about that. Don’t tell me about Harris and her reputable career as it compares to one failed campaign when the dipshit creature known as Vance exists one heartbeat from the presidency as well.

Conversely, a smart political opponent would start attacking Harris for Biden policies. Lemme quickly say that I’m placing a heavy emphasis on the word smart there because we are still talking by the way about trump/vance. See, there are serious risks for republicans to attack on policy because that opens their flanks to being attacked even more for their failures, ie - that’s why the initial strategy of going after her on the border failed and fizzled.

Honestly, I’m confident some young republican operative will stumble upon a better plan and will be able to get it up the dumb chain of command, but for trump’s sake this better be fast! Only 80 so days left! Otherwise, Harris/Walz will have to continue defending their laughter and hair loss against crimin, rapin, stealin, aging, dementin, and general couchin cross dressin weirdness. Certainly very tough decisions ahead there for the American public.
