Kamala’s 2024 Presidential Run

That’s strange I have not seen one shitty looking MAGANAZI SiGN OR FLAG ANYWHERE. Must be more NAZI lies. What?
🤪😂😂🤣

In my deep blue neighborhood, the yard signs are still mostly Trump. I saw one yard with Harris signs.

What kind of a fuckwit puts a political sign in their front yard?

It’s a pointless attempt to get attention. “Look at me! I’m a hero fighting the good fight! I HAVE A PLASTIC SIGN!!”

People are so needy. Pathetic.

I do realize that the Harris and Trump proposals to eliminate tax on tips have some significant differences. However, why would it be a bad thing for both parties to support a similar proposal on some particular issue? The election is not a contest to come up with the most original policy ideas, and sharing of proposals that are popular with the public should be applauded, I would think.

She cast the tiebreaking vote for the Inflation Reduction Act, which includes the tips tax, but did not reduce inflation.
There is nothing in the bill regarding a tip tax.

Hope this helps 👍

I don't have a tips job, so I only checked a tax site instead of reading the whole bill. But maybe you have a better source. Regardless of which law has that tax, what is stopping her from repealing that tax now? She can propose it to Congress and dare the tax-hating Pubs to refuse a tax elimination.
Yes, most people seem to believe the Inflation Reduction Act created a new tax on tips. In reality, it increased resources for the IRS to be able to enforce existing tax laws better. One of those laws includes taxation of tips.

Congress has not expressed an interest in changing taxation laws in regards to tips. Certainly Harris or Trump could utilize their bully pulpit to increase political pressure on Congress to make specific changes to the tax laws which would address this.

Neither Biden nor Trump have proposed these changes during their Presidencies.

Great. Now compare/contrast that with the rate of inflation last year. And the year before. And the year before that. And finally, compare those to the last year of the Trump Presidency...

When you CREATE high inflation, crowing over how it's been reduce by 50% isn't much of a success story. Except to those too blinded by propaganda to see reality.

Or do you really believe that America is better off with $5/gal gas, tripled insurance rates, doubled housing costs, doubled food costs (plus shortages), and higher utility bills? (BTW, if you're not completely stupid you'll probably notice that your inflation dollars are going to support the mega corporations that you love to hate. Thanks Joe and Kamala!!)

Donald Trump's Support Among White Working Class Has 'Shrunk Significantly'

Donald Trump's support among white working-class voters has "shrunk significantly" since President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 race, said CNN data expert Harry Enten.

The latest New York Times/Siena College poll, conducted between August 5 and 9, found that in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, more white non-college-educated voters, a group that typically favors Republicans, are backing Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to the poll, Trump's lead among the demographic has been slashed by 13 points since May, when Biden was still the presumptive candidate for the Democratic Party. In a New York Times/Siena College poll conducted between April 28 and May 9, Trump was 26 points ahead of Biden among white non-college-educated voters when third-party candidates were included—with 52 percent to his opponent's 26 percent.

Trump is now only 13 points ahead among white non-college-educated voters, with 53 percent to Harris' 40 percent when third-party candidates are included. The former president is also 13 points ahead of Harris in a head-to-head matchup. The poll had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

Typical lib, edit someone's comments to make it sound like they said something completely different.
Are you not please with the drop? We did you ignore the reason I posted the drop in inflation? You jump in on a conversation and try to change the subject all too often.

No I'm not "pleased" that the costs increases imposed upon me are less burdensome.

It's like you're asking if carrying 475 lbs on my back is better than carrying 500 lbs without understanding that hefting EITHER is excessive. Worse, it was COMPLETELY unnecessary to subject the population to such a burden in the first place.

Unless the "plan" was to do it intentionally because you knew that half the population would support it just to fuck over the other half of the population. Because TDS.

Kamala Harris Leading in Five Battleground States: Survey

Kamala Harris is leading Donald Trump in five battleground states, according to a new survey.

According to the Cook Political Report Swing State Project Survey, released on August 14, when third party candidates are included, Harris is leading Trump in five of the seven battleground states. In May 2024, Trump was leading Biden in six of the states, while he and Biden were tied in one.

The report shows that Harris is two points ahead of Trump overall across the seven states, on 46 percent to Trump's 44 percent, while she is two points ahead in North Carolina and Michigan, four points ahead in Arizona, and five points ahead in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. In Nevada, Trump is five points ahead, while they are tied in Georgia.

Across all seven states, Harris has reduced Trump's margins from May 2024. The biggest swing is in North Carolina, where Harris has wiped out Trump's 8 point lead and is now 2 points ahead, on 46 percent to Trump's 44 percent. Harris has also reduced Trump's lead in Nevada by 3 points.

The polls are swinging within the margin of error on a daily basis. Trump up today, Harris tomorrow etc.

I said it before, Harris is in her honeymoon period and THE BEST she can do is tie. Once the campaign ramps up after she's the official candidate instead of just the presumptive nominee, the poll margin swinging may change.

Like a lot of people I'm waiting to see her implode during the debate.

Is anyone awake at Google? Kamala Harris’ team has been tinkering with the search results, editing ads from major publications to make it seem like major outlets are supporting the vice president’s campaign. It’s another example of bias we’re used to, though not deployed in such a brazen and craven way. This event serves as another reminder that the Democrat media complex exists, and it’s working to stifle the will of the people. The other question is if this operation was confident in the vice president’s abilities, why are they tilting the scales like this? For all the talk about misinformation and fake news, the Left remains the main manufacturer of information that’s purely fakakta (via Axios):

Here's one reason. The politicians will have to figure out how to restrict this to the TIPS we all think about as TIPS... to the barber, uber, waiter, etc etc...
Corporations are all set to call a whole lot of their salaries... "gratuities and tips"
Your lawyer will just "suggest" a 50% tip for the good work that was done for you.
How will you stop that?? Because THEY write the laws. If they can save 33% on what they hand their employees??
THEY WILL.

As for me? Paying taxes on my pension? OK... the waiter is getting to keep 25%? Then I can go back to 15% instead of 18% or 20% on an higher cost meal.

No taxes on Social Security??? FUCK THAT!! All of those people need to move to a fucking realistic 8% or 10% that is matched if they don't want to retire at 75. Tell them the truth?? Those immigrants?? They are needed to support the pyramid which has a huge bulge moving up. No tax? Fuck that!! They were never taxed on that money!!! Fucking communists marxist freeloading............ oh wait................ It's the politicians offering this so they can get at place at the feed trough in Washington.

Ca Teachers are paying 10%. or more actually. THAT's what good working people do even in a UNION! More because the pension is cut off at a flat increase after the first year. More is needed for IRA's etc to supplement for inflation.
GROW UP AMERICA !! Oh wait... that's the main problem the baby boomers are growing up. More Covid please??? OR...
PAY MORE!!! and put the caps back at 10% or where ever they should be historically!! The Rich got to pay to live in God's Country.

Also note. 'RUMP just turned on ALL UNIONS. Any union member who votes for him better fucking pray that a strike is never called under 'rump.

Anti-Trump Pollster Frank Luntz Stuns CNN Panel — Admits Trump is Winning Over Union Workers Like No Republican in Decades

by Jim Hᴏft Aug. 14, 2024 8:45 am

In a statement, the UAW did not hold back, labeling Trump a “scab” and accusing both Trump and Musk of aligning against the interests of working-class Americans. “When we say Donald Trump is a scab, this is what we mean,” UAW President Shawn Fain said in a statement. “Donald Trump will always side against workers standing up for themselves, and he will always side with billionaires like Elon Musk.”

But Frank Luntz’s analysis offers a starkly different perspective. Appearing on CNN, Luntz noted that despite the union leadership’s loud opposition, Trump’s appeal among rank-and-file union members is stronger than ever.

"Donald Trump is doing better among the average union member, not teachers' unions and not the unions for government, but everybody else, the trades, people work with their hands. He's doing better among them than any Republican has done in decades," Luntz asserted, leaving the typically anti-Trump panelists momentarily speechless.

Luntz highlighted the growing divide between union leadership and their membership, suggesting that the louder the leadership rails against Trump, the more they alienate their base.
