And yes, mostly. Bumblefuck is closing the Walmart before dark now. You know things are 100% fucked when bumblefuck closes the county walmart and the cops hang out in the parking lot (We don't have a Target, or Best Buy, or Lowes, or Home Depot, or Starbucks, but our county does now have that one walmart). We also may or may not have a protester. Kid spending his days at corner of our busiest intersection holding a sign that says "Racism is temporary. Wu-tang is forever". And, of course, all this led to a prayer vigil at town square, (oh you know it was maskless). Not sure what all they are praying for, but they are praying for something. Other than that, all is mostly normal.

My son works at a Starbucks. His store is open for take out only. During this tumult, the closest they've come to trouble was some soccer mom complained that her coffee was too hot - yes coffee *eye roll*. He said that she was going to call corporate.

lol. yeah, I don't know. The first night was because walmarts were being targeted in general by rioters, now they just say to spend more time cleaning and stocking, but still cops blocking the parking lot. Of course, we have a Dollar General too, and they have long made their own hours, I think they opened somewhere around 3 yesterday lol.

I mentioned bumblefuck walmart now closes at dark and the parking lot is the new police hangout.

There is the kid with sign "Racism is temporary. Wu-tang is forever" spending his days on the corner.

School is sending more polls to parent to determine when and how to open.

Apparently, all parents in my area will be getting $315 per child per month sent to them for food. parents who get food stamps just have it appear. parents who don't get benefits will now be getting them on cards mailed to them. Most probably get benefits anyway, but I don't know, it feels weird for those of us who don't. I'd have to have 8 kids to qualify for government cheese, yet you want to pay my grocery bill.

All of our 100+ women with covid have had their 2nd negative test, making our oldest survivor 107. They are all back to their nursing home. We haven't had any new cases in quite some time, so we are still holding at 2 deaths, and men don't get the covid. Of course, the neighboring city is doing antibody testing and covid testing for anyone who asks, and is finding while they knew about 300 cases, antibody testing is looking more like 13,000 cases, most reported no symptoms or minor cold or allergy symptoms at some point. I guess it is hard to say if it is still being passed or not, outside of the nursing homes.

apparently there are several loose chihuahuas running around being a menace to society and such today.

the even more rural side of bumblefuck shall be getting a drive through Taco Bell....maybe that is what has the Chihuahuas all riled up today

Sounds like the Walmart in one of the higher "influential" parts of my counting. Had a near riot during a back-to-school sale, closed up for the night, and didn't open again until noon the next day, and then nearly had another riot!

I had to google it but apparently they got a series on Hulu last year. Then places that have music started doing things like Wu-tang Wednesdays. Then I think wu-tang being similar to wuhan prompted some people to create safety fliers playing on it. Then first responders started wu-tang inspired stay at home covid quarantine videos. And thus we have a whole lot of Quarantine is Temporary, Wu-tang is forever.

but yeah, the 90s are coming back... hard. Ultra wide legs pants, Juicy Couture, Birkenstocks, bandannas, jelly shoes, obscenely ripped jeans (was one of my favorites), shiny fabric, colorful leather, and yes Wu-Tang. Just look around.

Ah, to live in East Bumblefuck. The "Covid crimewave" here was a series of thefts of chainsaws, outboard motors, lawn mowers and, of course gasoline...

The younger programmers whine and complain instead of listening to our concerns.
Then the older women come on screen and I see boobies!
