I was reading around the boards, and a thought hit Me. I saw many different view points stated and many responses to them. I also saw how some get so defensive when someone does not agree with what they think personally. I thought tolernce was suppose to be a hallmark of this lifestyle. What is just right for You and yours may not be what is right for Me. Does that make My thought more important or right, No. It is just what works for Me. Differing view is not an attack on your personaly or the way you do what you do..it is just that ... a different view.

Tolerating intolerance

I think it is something that we strive for in the lifestyle, partially because we want to receive it.

Perhaps sometimes people have had to suffer alot of intolerance to be who they are, and have a knee-jerk reaction, or are still trying to figure out who they are and vulnerable. Perhaps it's ego or misunderstanding. Lots of strong individuals gathered in a charged environment of control. Simple but unpleasant part of human nature.

Whatever the case, it is great to be reminded and a good message...

can we also turn it around, and say that when one sees or is shown intolerance - practice what is preached and remain tolerant, even in the face of intolerance?

Do you think we enjoy BDSM as much if we didn't have, play with and use our dinosaur brain at times?

BTW, the term made me smile.
