I've never understood men/boys/guys/whatever. Most of the men I talk to say they look for women who are physically appealing to them, intelligent, outgoing and adventerous, and have a healthy sexual appetite. They also whine that women are not forward enough and it is unfair for men to be socially expected to ask a woman out.

Yet they freak out if a women makes the first move. They say they are shy and intimidated by a "hot girl." They seem to go for the stupidest bitch they can find even when they are speaking to someone perfectly able to form a complete sentence. As soon as a girl brings up the mention of sex they clam up and pretend they don't have dicks.

Yes, this is more a generalization of guys my age (19-25), and I understand that not all men are like this (these tending to be the ones around 30+).

Sure the sensible answer would be to find an older man if I am looking for a guy to fulfill the qualities I am looking for. But guess what? Even though I do like some older men, I'm almost 20 and I'd like a guy my age.

So why am I posting if this really makes no difference? Because I'm bored and I'm annoyed and I damn well feel like it! *grins*

I think that pisses me off more than anything. I'd rather be turned down flat out than think a guy is interested only to be turned down in the end (what normally happens).

here's the one that's worked for me. instead of asking for his number, I just gave him mine. it opened the door and I've got a date for tomorrow night now.

The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys... and their women.

It's a Catch-22. Glamourous or attractive women bring out the inadequacies of men. The more glamourous or attractive, the greater the fear that the man cannot measure up physically or financially. That's why you see the loaded old dudes with a pin-up babe hanging on his arm. Women naturally seek protection and security. Money and/or bad boys fill that niche quite nicely.
