So every year it happens. Work gets busy.

It happens the same time of year. I handle it differently depending.

I put in 80 hours this week.

If you could see my face. The bags under my eyes. I haven't shaved in a week. Too tired.

And this isn't a cry for sympathy. I don't want it.

As Omar Rodriguez-Lopez called his great album, Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fungus.

So, here, for a couple of days. Fartin' around.

It's what we're here to do.

Hope everybody is doing well. Sorry for not replying to each person.

I'm in a mood.

And another long week is coming.

2.) The skeletons in the closet of a corporate environment ... to peddle and publicize a work/family balance, while harboring the expectations of a lack of one. I work in retail, hence our busy season quickly approaching ... my family never sees me from October - January and the hours are long, grueling, EXPECTED and exhausting. I have napped in my car, had liquid lunches (which always backfire) and set my outlook reminder hourly to force myself out of my office, even if just to walk around ... all that can refire the brain waves when you feel depleted. Sympathy, understanding, camaraderie, call it what yow will - good luck.
