Over an hour later I have read 40 apologies from Blckpanther, 30 not on a list lists and I'm still no closer to getting laid

It has happened to me.
Saturday night I had a gig to go to and by the time I was said I was 10 minutes late and unsubscribed to so many of my vapid threads, I was a half an hour late, but new shit had come up on the board by then and I had to respond to those so I wound up being 50 minutes late (I would NEVER allow myself to be an HOUR late on account of a stupid bulletin board).
I did make it to the gig though and saw some funky stuff.

I only worry when the rest of my life starts to interfere with my time at lit. People who fail to understand that I am "off" today and call with "just a quick question" are begging to be drawn and quartered while threads slip away from me...

yes I do that.... but not as much as you'd think.
I'm usualy self motivated. I tell myself i'm going to do this and I do..... unless it's somthing I DON"T want to to and nohting bad will happen if I don't... that's when I say okay time to do..... then stay on.

Let's see - the first thing I do in the morning is check Lit for any new and interesting threads, respond to PMs (though I don't get very many lately) and check my email - in that order.
At work - I am online at every possible opportunity, even if it's just to do a quick scan of Lit.
In the evenings - I'm getting better, but I still spend an inordinate amount of time on Lit. Even on days that I don't post very much, I still keep reading, telling myself just one more thread. . . two hours later I'm crawling up to bed.
Do I have a problem? Probably! Do I care? Not really!!!!!! There are worse addictions one could have. Right??

Yes I have this problem too, being retired I have little I have to do but will frequently shirk those things that I should do. This does impact on self esteme and feeling of self worth. I am getting better and do believe that the net and Lit have potential to be extremely adictive.

I have been a Net junkie ever since I bought my first computer! Lit is addictive, at least for me. However, I have made some wonderful friends here and that's one of the reasons I keep coming back. But, I have yet to reach the point where my real life duties are neglected so I'm not concerned. . .yet!
