Why is it that when ever I try to do something nice / romantic it is dismissed or worse.

Example: The Wife is a big fan of James Taylor. So I found that he was playing near to us. Got tickets and booked a room( it is a couple hour drive). Asked her to make sure her folk could watch the kids overnight( did this first), they can and will.

So the other day my truck takes a crap and has to go into the shop. The bill was unexpected. So long story short it put a cruch on the short term spending. Just a bump in the road we all have them.

Anyways back to my ranting. We are siting aroung over the weekend and the concert comes up. Now instead of something that should be fun and a great time it is this "well the tickets are paid for and the room is paid for so I guess that we have to go"

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!

I just don't get it! The more I try the more trouble I seem to get into. I guess I will stop ranting now as I am just as depressed as when I started.
