I can't even...
I'm trying to bury my head over this, but the edges turn up and the hatred leaks in all the same. In the past the US came to the aid of other countries.... rn it has to save itself or go the way of Russia.

Everything about this murder and the things happening in Minnesota scare me. It seems to me this country has taken a long step closer to total fascist control.
Will we even have elections this fall?
How safe are queer folk like myself anymore?
Will I be able to even get healthcare in the near future?
I honestly think this is all part of their plan, they want us scared.
And I have to believe they are so close to invoking this insurrection act...
I'm doing my best to stay positive, but after this blatant hostility it's not easy

I hope so.
Not sure how civilians unarmed could ever do against the paramilitary that ice seems to have become.
One thing that I thought was hopeful, I saw in a news feed that some of the EU is already sending troops to Greenland.
I am really happy to see some push back against this evil toad!

Def happy about that! This entire Minnesota thing is weighing heavy on me, not just the murder, but how hostile the government has become
I feel pretty helpless and am always wishing there was more I could do to make them hear our thoughts and refusing to accept the destruction.

Don't mistake my advice for complacency. If there's some way you can offer support to MN - signing petitions, writing emails then do it. I cried after watching those horrible video clips and if I were to think too much about it, I'd make myself depressed. I've learned to curate what I expose myself to in order to stay functional.
I don't trust the motives of the media machine controlled by a handful of billionaires.
I think almost every individual EU country, as well as NATO and the EU itself has condemned Trump and is standing by Denmark and Greenland. Although I think the UK has been quiet, because we're America's poodle...and we bought F35s

Here's a strange Twump effect. I went to rewatch Arrival for the xth time but I had to stop. The pigheaded stupidity of the military characters was too close to home and distracting. That's annoyed me - I really love that film. Maybe I can come back to it when normality has returned?
When government administrations become terrorist organizations, everyone is affected. I noticed this over the recent holiday season. The chaos and conflict in the USA was like a dark cloud.
Then, when Trump invaded Venezuela and Minneapolis with military or military-like force, we entered a much deeper phase of chaos and conflict.
It will probably take a long time for that sense of normality to return. Right now in the USA, most people are very concerned that Trump will interfere in or cancel this year's election of Congressional and Senate reps.
This administration has been particularly rough on migrants of color and trans people. As another poster said on this thread, we have to stand up for justice and for each other.
