Seriously I am having a hard time with anything I have seen him in, to be able to call it acting

I thought he pulled off a pretty good British accent in The Crying Game.

ok, there is hope for me to see him as an actor, I just happened to see him on three movies in the last week on TBS and TNN and what i have seen of him on Twighlight zone.

I will look up those movies suggested here and try to watch them sometimes, I hate to get a distaste of an actor only to avoid thier work, later to find out they just had a few bad days so to speak

That's what I said about Steven Segal but I just keep going back :D

Forest Whitaker did a great job in Jim Jarmusch's "Ghost Dog:The Way of the Samurai" - very existential sensibilities

I tend to like his work, but I wasn't crazy about 'Ghost Dog,'
but 'Panic Room' was interesting.

Forrest Whitaker tends to pick out of the ordinary roles.

I wasn't that crazy about his role in 'Species' but loved him in 'Good Morning Vietnam'.

I just watched platoon with him the other day.

I think he is a good actor, always seems to play the nice guy.

I dont think I could ever see myself being angry at him.

He was ok in "Blown Away." I just don't think he has a wide acting range.

I like Forest Whitaker, and most of the projects he chooses.

Has anyone seen 'Green Dragon?' It's a wonderful film.

Viewing in Vermont,
Ellie

He was great in Jarmusch's Dead Man as well

He has incredible versatility
In fact, his range is so broad that you often forget all the films he has been in

?

i have a disc that rings that bell

somwhere..

He's a very good actor. One of those who is often the only good thing in a crappy movie, but there are some titles where his talent is drowned out with crappy writing and/or bad directing. Really looking forward to seeing him and Colin Farrell in 'Phone Booth' myself.

He gives you a feeling of friendship and security. He reminds me of Yaphet Kotto - who was very great, especially Blue Collar and Alien.
