If anyone's wondering where I've been, I guess the answer is that I've been busy in my life, and I've been thinking that it's not really worth coming here to have my identity denied and questioned relentlessly by pissant right-wingers (and I don't mean all of the right wingers here, some of whom are very pleasant). But I've been finding that life is much less stressful if I bypass Lit.

I find that sad, as I miss coming here. And I find it annoying, as I hate to surrender to morons, especially smug ones. But it's verging on moving one's seat in a movie theater in order to escape a pack of noisy brats.

I wasn't including you, WD, as you've been kind of sensible about all this shite. I think we flamed out twice, and I know I asked for it the first time. Nor has Todd, or Uncle Bill, or any of Lit's right wingers. In your case, I feel that we could have a perfectly good argument with the customary nastiness, based on IDEAS. I am sick of being attacked with inuendoes by Cheyenne and a couple of her pals, along with Miles, who is psychotic, and whose friends know he is lying. I believe you told me that someone accused you of being AJ once, but did that go on for months?

I do think the problem is political. Apart from AJ's relentless and pointless pursuit of DCL, I'm not aware of anyone else whose posts are constantly denounced as fraudulent, as mine are. It does diminish the fun of coming here.

I totally appreciate your sentiments. It's reached the point where I've deleted most of my old truly personal info from about 1,000 posts. I really don't want to let Miles and Cheyenne drive me off, and there's easily 40 people I would miss, but I'd be really gratified and encouraged if people here would stand up to those two and get them to stop harassing people.

I'm not talking about censorship, merely communications in good taste and good faith. It hurts me to see people I've communed with ignoring the whole thing. It tells me that the lighter and heavier aspects of my existence and postings at Lit have had no value, and then I truly wonder why I bother.

Cheyenne has never had any basis for claiming that I am a fraud, and there's a thread that proves this, wherein she devoutly attempt to ignore that she's accusing me of not seeing buildings that were not built when I was in the East German city I claimed I was in. If that sounds overly obscure, please understand that she lifts off from these disputes to make blanket comments that I am a proven fraud. It's sickening and I wish people would rise up and smite her.

Absent an apology from her, I am prepared to fight back, whenever I come here.
