Junkfood!

Mmmm, around here they call it Fiddle Faddle. There's another brand I can't think of at the moment.

It's made by the same company, I found out. I love Fiddle Faddle too, which is the one with the peanuts - the Screaming Yellow Zonkers apparently have no nuts. Here's the website
They also make Poppycock. [make your own joke here]

Ben and Jerrys Phish Food ice cream. I'm actully intolerant to it but I'll eat it anyway. I love Phish Food!

Anything from Harry and David's is bound to be good. I'm pretty sure the chocolate covered strawberries a friend gave me two Christmas's ago were from there. Really excellent stuff.

a really really good flavored coffee with heavy cream... creme brulee.... or the perfect tiramisu

Creme brulee............*drool*
Tiramisu................*double drool*

Makes me think of a day in Provincetown when Min and I went there for our holiday last summer.....we rented some lesbian movies, bought a huge tirimasu, and spent the rest of the day naked in bed, watching the movies (laughing hysterically at Claire of the Moon - so, so, bad), and feeding each other tirimasu.

Perfection.

:)

Captain Crunch cereal used to be great right out of the box. But now you can't find it without Crunchberries, a contaminant abhorred by Crunch purists.

On a positive note, Cheetos is now marketing a "white cheddar" option. Tastes the same, but your fingers don't get that neon-orange stain that tells the world you've been binging on junk food.

junk food or indulgent food... they are different if only slightly.

indulgent food...once a month when cravings make me...no, really they do.
ie: haagen daz ice cream or godiva chocolate

junk food...every now and then stuff that you eat with sandwiches like...bbq chips or fritos

Yet that indulgent food is full of junk food, yet there are times that indulgent food can be very good for you.

Let me preface this by saying that I normally eat fairly healthy. I don't have much of a sweet-tooth, and I'm much more likely to pull the bag of carrots out of the fridge for a snack than a bag of chips.

However....

I've just found the junkiest snack!

I love jalapenos, so I buy the jalapeno pepper pringles (added plus is that no one in the house will eat them but me). Squeeze on a touch of easy cheese, another pringle on top, and voila! Junkfood heaven!

What's your secret junkfood indulgence/shame?
I think those Pringles are horrible. Try the Jalapeno Tom's Cascade style chips from Washington. Brilliant!

Sometimes I omit the word "way" to get throught the day. And if it's a really bad day, I ax the word "it".

Englsh candies and cookies are a vice for me. Partly because I miss home (I was born and raised in England), and partly because they're head and shoulders above everything we have here. No offense, I love candy, but it's just better there. Don't believe me? Try some Cadbury's.

Ok, some of absolute favorites.

Cadbury's Fingers ~ Get me a box of these and it WILL be empty within the hour. My parents have to hide the Finger's tin from me while I'm home because they know it'll be gone the second they open it.

Cadbury's Mini Eggs ~ My favorite candy of ALL TIME! If you've never had any, next Easter go out and get yourself a bag. They do them here in America. Trust me, you will not regret it.

Smarties ~ No not those chalky things that are given out by the handful at Halloween, these are Candy coated chocolates, much like M&M's, but better. I went on a trip to Europe for two weeks last summer and I must have bought at least 20 tubes in the 2 weeks we were there. That's a rough estimate, I can't exactly remember in detail what I ate over a year ago, but it had to be upwards of that number. They did three packs and I'd buy one of those every so often. At one point I bought 5 3-packs.

Anything Cadbury's ~ Just amazing chocolate. So smooth.

Oh I know, I love Flakes. Ice cream's just not the same without one. Oh and with soft serve English Ice Cream? Forget about it!

Another thought popped into my head, another thing we don't get in America, but I loved as a kid is rock candy. Nothing like having one of those huge sticks of candy. I remember going down to Plymouth and walking down the street where every shop had baskets full of them, and each store had something different. *drools*

You are spot on about the chocolate candies in U.K. (Europe really) being better than in the U.S. It's not even close. I don't see why there is this cheap-ass, disgusting American (taste) that the companies maintain.

Yeah I know. *sigh* We go to this English shop somewhere near Stanford, but it's expensive there. Case in point, they charge $5 for a can of English Coca Cola. Yes, that's the same Coca Cola we have here folks. Although, in all honesty, I really do think it tastes better in England than it does here in America! It's astounding!...but not worth $5 :D

$5 a can??!! Just fly to London once a year and buy several cases, it would be cheaper. I may be going there myself in a few weeks. My candy supply is down to 1 Flake.
