Jungle Mystery (Closed)

She nodded to him doing her best not to go busting in and killing them all. Her anger. Oiled with every word they spoke. She needed to attack... to kill.

Ryan "Ghost" Phillips

He nudged her again and motioned for her to follow him, they left the tent, slipping out of the camp. He could see that she was angry and that made her reckless.

"OK so this is what we need to do, we will draw them out and kill them. I'll light a fire and when they try to kill the fire...you kill them."

She snarled nodding she wanted to free any they already had taken and the animals her rage seemed to flow from her as she growled low then getting an idea she began roaring and growling... as if telling the animals that they had captured already what was going on.

While she was busy he slipped away, another soldier surprised him, but met his end at the sharp end of a blade. There was a tent that seemed to carry foodstores and it was in this tent that he lit the fire. He fell back, moving quickly through the shadows, slinging the rifle from his shoulder and at a safe distance, he turned and faced the camp. He could not see Keira and that was a good thing, if he couldn't see her they could not either.

Moving through the camp she released the animals that were well enough to run and attack the humans on their own. Moving to the tent of the captured villagers and arming them with what weapons she could find and sending them after the outsiders as well. Once all of that was done and a few guards slain along the way she had some of the freed prisoners begin to yell about the Keria running from the camp.

She then after smearing blood and mud created by blood over her face and body she grinned evilly as she began to openly hunt the outsiders. Stopping before the one who told them they should find her. It was a soldier... One like Ryan... Pale of skin but like the stones of the mountains. Her smile what many might call cold and sadistic as she motioned him to stand and fight her himself.

She watched as he moved to level a gun only for a lion to leap from no where and snap its jaws shut on the gun wrenching it from him leaving him unarmed.

Absolute chaos reigned in the camp as villagers and animals ran amok among the hunters and their helpers, whenever Ryan saw a rifle he fired, his silenced weapon spitting out death. He saw Keira and smiled, she just could not withstand the lure of fighting their leader. The man moved like a trained combatant and even though Ryan had faith in Keira, he still held a close watch over the two of them with his rifle.

She recognized him and snarled darkly as she circled warily. Instinct guided her hand to briefly claw at her own neck which seemed to make the foreigner laugh a little that she remembered. As soon as he began to speak she leaped daggers ready teeth bared just like the wild animals that circled them keeping any and all at bay and helpless to help their leader.

One dagger finding its mark in his shoulder as she forced him back and rolled away from him. Watching him pull the dagger they now both had weapons to fight with.

Ryan "Ghost" Phillips

"First blood, keep up the good job girl."

He muttered to himself as the remaining villagers gathered around them, cheering Keira on. He moved to a higher spot that gave him the best angle to kill the man from if he needed to.

Their fight continued as she watched for weakened moments trying to make him move to strike at her in such ways that would bring more pain and give her more advantage. This fight seemed slow motion to her as they fought on and on before he was seated on the ground holing up a hand in defense shaking his head clearly hoping for mercy from her former victim.

She roared hissing wanting him to stand wanting to end this in battle not with him cowering bleeding.

Ryan "Ghost" Phillips

Through the scope he saw the concealed pistol and fired, he did not have enough time to aim for the weapon, so he shot the man through the throat, the bullet smashing his spine as it exited.

Her head whipping around with a snarl to see where the bullet came from stealing honorable combat from her. Eyes narrowing as she saw the lions move in on the body and then seeing the other gun. She hated outsiders... she hated soldiers and yet... Ryan... No he was a wild spirit like her a protector for these people and animals now not a soldier...

Ryan "Ghost" Phillips

He scanned through the camp, finding that the area was safe, he slipped from his perch and slinging the gun over his shoulder he crouched in the shadows, knowing that Keira would find him there. He sighed and then yawned, it's been a while since he really slept, he wondered if the cub would make it.

She headed back to the shadows where they had been before and found him. She turned staring out as the camp burned and the people and animals were free and running back to their homes.

We should go...

Ryan "Ghost" Phillips

He stood up,

"That is a good plan you have there, I think I could do with some rest. You really know how to tire a guy out."

He laughed and gave her a playful nudge with his shoulder,

"Sorry about taking your kill, he was trying to kill you in a very underhanded way and I couldn't let that stand."

She nodded and reaching for some plants wiped the blood from some cuts he managed to get on her and motioned for him to walk with her.

Soldiers all the same...

She walked along heading back home she hoped he would not take her words wrong as he was not a soldier any more so he was not a part of her words.

Ryan "Ghost" Phillips

"Not all soldiers Keira, not everybody is like those that come here. I got the feeling from watching the fight that you knew him."

He gently touched her shoulder,

"Did you know him?"

She nodded.

He was thought to be dead from previous soldiers who brought strange mobile dwelling.

She looked to him with a sigh... Capturing me became more important than warlord.

Ryan "Ghost" Phillips

"So he turned mercenary, how interesting...I just hope that we do not run into any people that know me, would be strange to kill the people I once thought of as friends."

If he survived how many of the others have survived from that visit of soldiers?

She tensed thinking about it but continued to head home with him. Returning she looked to the little cub that Grandmother was tending to and moved to lay down purring and nuzzling the little cub encouraging it to fight to live and for it to feel actions it would know and understand.

Ryan "Ghost" Phillips

He watched her lay with the cub,

"Maybe more than I would like to think of. What if they send in people to come look for me and kill me?"

He crouched down and gently stroked the cub's fur, letting his own sense of caring filter through to the little one.

Then they will find death at the Kirea's hands trying to bring harm to one of hers.

She looked over to him with a smile. The cub alert enough seemed to squeak out a little growl as if agreeing with Kirea. She smiled to the cub and nuzzled the little one again looking toe Grandmother who simply nodded but had that slight who knows shrug to her answer.

Ryan "Ghost" Phillips

He had noticed the silent communication between the two and he looked grimly down at the cub. He had to make it even if he who was Ryan had to milk a damned elephant for it to happen.

She waited till the cub fell asleep and walked back out of the cave looking around roaring out calling any and all lions in the area to her motioning for her brother and his mate to go and help. Then she stood there and stared at the skies with a tired sigh.

Ryan "Ghost" Phillips

He could remember gently stroking the cub and the next thing birds were chirping in his ears, he groaned and turned his head away from the light, snuggling up to what felt like a hard pole, but for the time he didn't care, he wanted to sleep a bit more. He slipped back into sleep, oblivious to the lioness sniffing at his hair.

Kirea sat high on a rock in the cave appearing asleep and the cubs mother curled around the cub and investigating the cubs apparent new friend and pillow. She watched them wary if the lioness decided she did not like him but with her that close she doubted it would happen. The animals trusted Kirea so if he was in Kirea's home he had to be safe for them as well.
