In your folder options there is a check box to "show hidden and system files" that defaults to NO in a basic windows installation. Turn it on, and the file should show up.

If it's the find files and folders that is showing you where it is, then you can just delete it from the results list.

If it's you virus program that is showing you where it is, there should be a button in the "display quarantined items" section that will delete it.

If your virus software doesn't have it quarantined, then you should be able to tell the software to delete it whenever found.

PS: if yur virus software found it and told you where it found it, it may have already deleted it, which is why you can't find it now.

I scanned again and it was still there...even though I clicked to show all files.

I know what it is and where I got it. Isnt malicious it just caused a 10000 popups..... and I think that is why it is showing in my temp int files....

Note dont click Bob Bytchins dont click this button.

Think I got it!

So it's more spyware than virus?

Ad-Aware or another spy-ware remover should get rid of it if you haven't managed it.

im scanning again then we will see. I did just run adaware....

I looked it up on google though and it just seems to be a pop up thing when I clicked on the link in Bobs sig...yes it was just too tempting...I got so many popups I froze...had to ctrl alt dlte. that is the only thing I could think of. Because it isnt like it is imbedded in my cabs or boot sector ya know?

SpyBot Search and Destroy does a better job than Ad-Aware

Load SpyBot Search and Destroy and it will root out things that Ad-Aware doesn't even look for. SpyBot will also repair things right down to the registry level. I got it as a free download off the TechTV.com site. It deals with spyware, keystroke loggers, trackers, dialers, hijcakers, trojans, and yes, pop ups too. Give it a try.
