Random question of the day:

What did you want to be when you grew up?

a US Marine
This is the type of question you can expand on =P Why marine..did anything change your mind?

----------------

More randomness :D I wanted to share something with you. One of my all time favourite movies ever is The Wedding Date. It was a bargain bin find and OMG I could actually watch it over and over. There are many good reasons I like this film but the following hot clip is one of the top 3 reasons..the other two being the sex scene and the dance scene.

Must be a boy way of answering

I wanted to be a number of things.. A gymnast despite no obvious ability in that or figure skating - my other sporty dream. I wanted to be a dancer so took lessons until a few years ago. I participated in all theatre programmes at my school..in and out of term because I wanted to work with theatre as a sideline. (Something I am looking at still to this day. I have a local drama group I am thinking of re-joining)

'Proper' jobs wise... Hmmn Teacher was number one for a while and something I haven't ruled out with my choice of degree. Police Officer.. In the UK you can volunteer as a special constable for so many hours a week and you have exactly the same powers as a paid officer. We also run a 'community support officer' programme...which Im not sure how much they help because they can't arrest anyone. I applied to be a special constable and my application is on deferral until I decide how i will proceed with degree etc.

Which leads to my other childhood job - Doctor. I had ruled it out when my college stopped its science programme...stupid lame place that couldn't keep it's teachers /angry face
But, since I have learnt that I can go the graduate route..well thats my plan. Get the required level of degree, pass the GAMSAT and interview and begin medical training in about 2014/15.

Something to prove, I guess. It's just what I always wanted to do, so I did it, served my time, and got out. Kind of a buzzkill, I know, but I'd probably do it again.

Did you manage toprove to yourself or whomever what you wanted to prove?

First off, greetings from a noob. I love your pics... this one especially. Your lips are dangerously sexy. :rose:

Now, to answer your question: I wanted to be a musician or a filmmaker. I managed to achieve one of those goals, but every now and then I wonder what might have happened had I chosen the other path.

Kinda had it pictured the other way

My best advice would be that if you're going to serve in the military, find a job you can take with you when you leave. Didja know there's not a single job out there that involves shooting a cannon?

Circus assistant? Civil War re-enactor?

Lol

And ace that there are jobs where you can shoot a cannon =D
This gives me an idea for a random thread but dont know if id do it. A random requirement for job - like firing cannon. Then challenge to name jobs. Reminds me of friends when they're looking for jobs where someone might ask to see your hand :D

So yesterday I promised Pics. Just so you know these are fairly innocent and will be posted over course of a few days.

If you think of anything good post it and Ill answer tomorrow.
Im heading to bed. Didn't realise the time and I have to be up in 4hrs! Not fun

Take care everyone and sweet dreams

When I was really young I wanted to be an actor. I've always loved film and that was what jumped out at me. When I grew a little older I started to realize that what really intrigued me was the idea of writing or directing, and since then that's been my passion. I've kind of fallen off the path of following that ambition in recent months, but I'm trying to hop back on it now.

You need a muse..or a group of muses to help you get back in the saddle :)

Have you done a lot of directing? I find I get as much satisfaction, if not more, from watching someone grow in front of me as I do growing myself. Which is part of the reason I work in children's theatre when I direct. It's just amazing watching their confidence skyrocket and as they being to get a hold of acting. :D
