Okay guys. I am going to be removing all my pics and then re-uploading them as watermarked. So now really is the time to suggest or show me the pics you want redoing with my new cam. Once I have done the water marks I wont be remaking those exact pictures again.

Absolutely lovely pics Beth. You look just as good in your clothes as out of them

Hi Beth, how do you watermark them? :)

You need a muse..or a group of muses to help you get back in the saddle :)

Have you done a lot of directing? I find I get as much satisfaction, if not more, from watching someone grow in front of me as I do growing myself. Which is part of the reason I work in children's theatre when I direct. It's just amazing watching their confidence skyrocket and as they being to get a hold of acting. :D

I've directed some short videos that I made with my friends, but that's about it. I really need to start doing that kind of stuff again. The more you do it the better you get at it.

Hiya Beth

How are you? Says you have a new cam eh? Should be interesting. It was nice to see your eyes!! i helped out me__ a little

Good thanks and yes indeed :) I'll probably do a set of eye pics..different makeup and stuff ^.^

I'm thinking about just restarting the pics. Rather than going through them all one by one! I dunno

it might be alot of work to fix them all. unless you know how to batch process. I mean that in a program way. He he. A fresh start is sometimes nice too

I can batch watermark with this program. I was thinking more for quality of picture...and not having to upload same pic twice - once for watermark and once for remake.

Which is really why I want feedback because anything that is not wanted..i will decide whether to keep on site in blurred form or whether to delete it. I will begin this process over the course of the week. Just leaving enough pics on thread to keep it open.

gotcha

i understand. Better quality might bring a better quality of lurkers too!;)

Hi everyone on this rather dreary, British Monday.

Today's quote of the day comes from my sister's GCSE coursework (which I was helping her with):

...measure with a teaspoon (eating utensil) or a dropper

Not quite sure that needed clarifying  Dropper, however, that might have needed explaining :D
And her English is rather shocking.. "Beth doesn't want no beans on her dinner, dad" (cringe..shudder..makes a cross :D) Double negative!! You'd think someone doing their English GCSE exam in a few weeks would know how incorrect that was

Hey Beth, maybe she can pair up with my son :D
Is she any good on Biology? ;)

Hi me :)

Im not sure what her biology is like but she doesn't ask for help with that so I presume okay :) And you're welcome hun :rose: Not fun having to reload all pics though. I'm debating whether to use is as chance to refresh the thread lol

  3. a word or expression that has become extinct or highly archaic in the English language

Part 2
Compose a response of about 600 words to another student's posting. Include:
  1. evidence of appreciation and understanding of student's post
  2. some additional relevant material or admendment to original
  3. demonstration - through style of writing- of awareness of the genre of academic online discussion

Assignment 2
Part 1

Explain the meaning of the following terms, using examples from the course materials and any relevant examples of your own.
  • Linguistic imperialism
  • Creole

Part 2
Discuss the role of language contact in the shaping and spread of English within and beyond the British Isles.

Assignment 3
Part 1

Record, locate on the web, an unscripted television or radio programme broadcast, or podcast, during the four weeks the submission date for this assignment. Select about 1 minute of the programme where more than one person is talking. Transcribe the conversation . Briefly explain why you have chosen this particular transcription technique.

Part 2
What does the transcript, and the process of transcription, help to illustrate about language in use?

And then when I finish that or need a break I have Algebra..yet again :) Happy times.

So for actual break I am on here lol

A little tired; work sucks! And of course it's working, you know you don't even have to try!
