John's Rustic Romper Room

A great time was had by all and most ate and drank too much :D This is john, pooped out and one more thing to read before the new week starts.

Good night all.

Good morning. Reading done, paper done, 2 other assignments done, guess I'm ready for Monday. I do have a couple of bigger projects on the horizon that need to start coming together, but for the most part, I'm on top of things.

Got lots of leftovers form yesterday so lunches are all set for the week. I have to work on my time management a little more, I think.

I hope you all have a great week! Dutchess, it's going ot be a long day, but I'm doing the jacuzzi tonight after I get home, probably about 10:15pm. I know you're usually in the bed by then, but if you care to join me. :D :rose:

The jacuzzi and you ... Let me think a minute. Do I want to go to bed early, or do I want to stay up a bit for that?

I most certainly will stay up a bit then!
I could bounce on the tramp a bit to keep me awake.

good morning! :kiss::kiss:
Was last couple of days around here.. first chance I've really gotten to tackle all that I've let slide.. ;)

Nice to see youy sunbunny. Missed you. It's getting pretty quiet around here, guess we need to find some new folks to come by the romper room.

Rough day at home. Mrs. J lost her job today. She's been in insurance a long time, but I kind of hope she decides to go in a different direction now. Either way, I'll be supporting her, but it's still early and raw so we haven't really talked about it much.

Sending hugs too, John. Hardest part for her now maybe will be the fact she still has to show up there until the date she has too, I think. I know my dad was so upset by this fact (he lost his job after nearly 28 years in various positions within the same organization due to a reorganizing; as did about 120 other people who were over 58) he had to call in sick for two weeks until he was able to go back for three more months.

I sympathise John - I was made redundant after 28 years with the same Company - you feel as if the rug has suddenly been pulled from under your feet.

It is difficult at first - but then once it has sunk in you sit down and rationalise things - and take it as a new opportunity. I like the idea of changing direction. This is something you would probably not choose to do whilst in employment, but now it is forced upon you - grab the chance with both hands!

i wish you both well..:rose:

give her hugs.. it is hard to have part of what you are ripped away.. But she has your support and your love.. I'm thinking she will work through it just fine..

Thanks everyone. We did talk a bit last night and I told her at this point in your life, you should only do what you want to. Obviously, there are financial considerations, but I really hope she takes some time and thinks about what's truly important before moving forward.

She knows she has support and we'll find our way through it all. And, with friends like you guys it makes it that much easier. :)

Hope you all have a great great day!

I am sure with you there for her John, she will be fine...:):rose:

What an interesting day! I developed my first 2 B&W prints today in the darkroom. One came out fairly well, the other has a focus issue and I can't tell if it's from the shot or the enlarger. I will go back tomorrow afternoon and play with it some more as I have to have 3 prints ready for critique next Tuesday morning.

Other than that, a normal school day, for an old guy at least. I hope you all had a good one!!

Good night!

Good Morning everyone

John, "fairly well" means you are pleased with the picture? If so, that is wonderful! I am sure the other one comes out fairly well also if you play a bit with it.

Abnormal schooldays would be a bit awkward, wouldn't they?

Good Morning everyone

The sun is shining! 'Alte Wybersommer' (old matrons' summer = indian summer) has started, temperature will rise to 70°F on saturday! If the 'Föhn' kicks in, it might even rise to 77°F!

Good morning ladies. :rose:

It's looking like its just us around here. No school today, but as usual, it's catch up day. Got a few projects to work on and hope to be on and off throughout the day.

Have I said lately how much I hate Adobe Illustrator? I'm sure it's a great program, but, I'm obviously to silly to figure it out. :(

I'm thinking a swim and then a couple drinks and watching part of a ballgame. Frustrated, but I'll get over it.

I will bounce a bit on the tramp in the morning to help you forget the troubles you had with AI. Now I am too tired. I am off to bed.

Good night

Sounds like a great idea Dutchess. :)

I stayed home today with a brutal headache and just not feeling well. Will probably try and get some reading done later, but for now, it's time to just be lazy.

Oh dear, I am sorry to hear that. Has it passed by now? Maybe no bouncing then, but a neck massage?
