McCain votes with the republicans far more often than he votes with the democrats, so there is no possibility of him switching to the democrats.

I also think its unlikely that he would run as an independant, or he would have done that during the last election. He would have had a very good chance of winning as an Indie.

Since Bush is going to be the Republicans candidate for president in 2004, I can't see McCain running.

Gore is doomed - since Jeffords switched, too many Dems are glad he "lost."

Daschle's looking good, except JFK's the only one non-Southern Dem elected since FDR, and McGovern didn't do too well from South Dakota.

So John what's-is-name from North Carolina looks good because he's a Southern Dem.
