Sounds like we agree; it started with the money lending game.

Christians used to believe that making money from money was on the wrong side of the Good Evil divide.

Most of the world now views the USA as the Great Satan, morally bankrupt.

So I guess the West is pretty much “owned” by the Jews in that respect, hence the dissatisfaction with our self absorbed, wasteful society?

This is inaccurate. The population of Jerusalem at the time 70 ad. was about 200,000 but probably swollen because of Passover. The Romans killed all the fighters and any man of military age. The elderly and infirm were also killed. About 90,000 fit women and children were enslaved. The rural population not directly involved in the revolt were largely left un-affected. However, following a second unsuccessful revolt in 135AD. the Romans had had enough of the Jews and far higher numbers from the whole country were then evicted or enslaved, possibly as many as 500,000. A major Jewish Diaspora already existed from 722 BC in Syria 588 BC in Persia and throughout the Mediterranean.

The Patrician class were less than 3% of the Roman population. Plenty of Romans worked in business, including some very wealthy Plebians.
