Okay, apparently Jessica Alba is angry that her picture was placed on the cover of Playboy magazine without her permission... She says that it has damaged her reputation as an actor... WHAT REPUTATION IS SHE TALKING ABOUT? When has she ever had a role that showed that she has actual acting abilties? In every single role she's played in, she is either scantily clad, tightly clad, or showing off her body in blatant fanservice. She's even been nominated for razzies as worst actress for her roles in Fantastic Four and Into the blue. I've seen a single preview for into the blue...and I can tell that men came to see the movie to stare at Jessica Alba's ass for 2 hours.. So why in hell would she be angry that she was placed in Playboy magazine.. If anything it would have boosted her status as a celebrity instead of just a cheap piece of ass. She was reported as one of the 25 hottest women in the magazine. Infact she was chosen as the hottest celebrity of the year by the magazine's online poll.. So what the hell is wrong with you Jessica Alba? The magazine made you look good. Why are you complaining?

She is such an idiot. Why would you complain about getting good publicity? Except maybe to get even MORE publicity? wtf...

If she doesn't want to be on the cover of a national nude magazine she has that right.

Her 'people' released the image to Playboy without informing her and it implies that there are nudes inside. She has every right to be pissed and I'm glad she's going after them.

The thing is she wasn't nude in it... She was wearing a bathing suit the whole time and was on the cover...

The thing is that the only thing she is known for is her body. She can't act worth a crap. The second those boobs start sagging she's out on her ass. She should milk this for all it's worth...

That's fine. But if she doesn't want her face on the cover of a nudie magazine she has that right.

If the only thing she has going for her is her looks, then she has the right to protect her "image." It sounds like Playboy didn't really ask her properly and swiped photos from elsewhere. She would have been in Playboy years ago, if she wanted to...

She may not be the best actress, but I think she plays the sexy little vixen rather well. I adored her in Dark Angel. She was the butt kicking vixen I wish I could be. :)

She was supposedly topless in Sin City and played a stripper.. How's that for image?

She is milking it and hopes for better roles in the future.

I don't get why so many think that way?

Not all women aspire to remove their clothes for monetary gain.

Perhaps she cares about how her parents and others look at her.

Playboy isn't exactly making it into the big time.

You can be just another ho anywhere.

I realize this is Lit and all....be real.

I think when an actress does not have obvious acting talent like a Scarlett Johansson or Anna Paquin that, with the limited roles women have offered to them in Hollywood and the emphasis on their beauty and youth, rather than how well they've honed their craft, it's a lot easier for a young actress to rely on their looks until they've proven their acting record.

She might be milking the publicity by showing that she isn't just another pretty face, despite the majority of movies that she's been in have been terrible and have only focused on her looks. That would be positioning for the future.

chances are... it's their looks that got them in the door in the first place?

Or perhaps she has moral, ethical, and religious reasons for her decision.

I think posing for porn is way different than appearing sexy and using your looks.

I don't think Scarlett Johansson is in this same catagory at all. Was she the won in Monster? That was great.

The other thing is, if Playboy is going to use her on the cover, I think it's obvious thy are going to sell a LOT of magazines purely because she IS on the cover, is it not fair to say that they should have to pay her for using her?

Forgetting about the whole "calculating publicity" angle, she makes a good point. If they are going to use her to sell their magazines, they should compensate her. I think it no different than a product that makes a commercial. In using the likeness of a celebrity, they have to get approval, which generally entails compensation. Why should the selling of Playboy be any different?

Monster was Charlize Theron.

Scarlett is most famour for her role in Lost In The Translation.
