I've heard good things about the Sequoia. My HJ-60 isn't nearly as plush, but I don't mind getting it a bit dirty. Don't need it as a daily driver, unless an EMP knocks out the Sube. And, I can sleep in the back of it, just barely, if i need to.

The Jeep press release photos remind me of a couple years ago I saw a guy with a tricked out Wrangler, shackles on all four corners, 35's on it, the whole nine yards.
I asked if he was interested in a nearly new winch for the times he gets stuck off-road and his reply was, "Oh, I never take it off-road."
Too funny. And too common.

They are good vehicles....dependability...utility...bang for the buck.

Yours deff has the advantages in a major solar event/EMP though.

Ive got a Jeep Commander, quadra drive II is awesome. the fucking thing leaks like a bastard sieve though. when it rains the sunroof seals piss in. any reasonable depth of water - the footwell seals piss in.. electronics are shitte.

good fun in the mud or snow though

(drinks diesel aswell)

the UTE was the Australian method of madness that worked. The GOODONES never got sold outside of that region.

Unfortunately last few years production and number of models has gone down, and what is left is a 90,000$ luxury UTE, and what are now 4 door pickups with short boxes.

And we cant import the out of production ones due to emissions issues.
