Yup. Ain't 'payback' a bitch. Well, there will be more to come over the next 9 years of Xi's rule.:D

The reason the regime is making such a big deal about getting Snowden, himself an idealistic young liberal, is to take the focus off the spying program itself. People are supposed to forget about what the government was doing to us, and think about Snowden instead.

We already have four of these threads.

Payback for what? Are you referring to your crap about Michelle not going to China? You think China would give us Snowden if Michelle made the trip?

You get the brass ring for that post.

Indeed.

I just love the confirmation of Obama's weakness internationally. Bebe was right. Barack's a lightweight douche worthy of out right defiance.

Among other things, her absence at the recent summit grates. However, stupid military bluster in the Asia Pacific is a more major source of annoyance. Marines in Darwin? Give me a fucking break.

Under what presidential scenario are you saying China would happily extradite Snowden?

My Chinese colleague is calling it score-settling for the US harboring Chen Guangchen. Could be be correct?

He is incorrect.

The Chinese willing let the 'Blind Man' leave the PRC once the State Department granted him a visa. The 'Blind Man' did not escape from China. Beijing let him go.

No answer?

One in which positive engagement with the Chinese was taking place. That's certainly not the case now. Some ideas:

1) The administration should have distanced itself from public debate about currency manipulation
2) The administration should not have increased military rhetoric or activity in Asia-Pac
3) The administration should back off human rights and Tibet. Nothing we say is going to lead to change but rather causes greater animosity. Morever, Tibet's not a player so why bother.

These posts would seem to be contradictory.

You just said that Obama would have been stronger if he had acted economically, militarily, and socially weaker.

CB is a master of self-contradictory nonsense. He's the Sarah Palin of Lit.

- Like this example of Obama acting too weak and when asked for examples he brings up instances of Obama acting very strongly.

- Like how election polling is total rubbish until he saw Gallup showing the Romney lead he wanted to hear - so somehow that poll was sound enough for him to start nine threads about it. But polling was still rubbish.

- Like how he decries Patriot Act security measures as intolerable but has no problem at all living in the communist police state of China.

- Like when he says we need more bipartisanship and then blasted Chris Christie just for cooperating with Obama on disaster relief.

Also, he's intensely dick-riding China like it just gave him his first O, but for some strange reason he's moving back to America.

Sounds like the current President of America just pulled China's bottom bitch.

I'll actually give the idiot credit for not slinking away in humiliation after all his "Gallup iz God" threads. I did my best to warn him that he was way out on a limb.

These self-styled super-patriots who hate Obama so much that they're actually cheering on Russia and China in disputes with the U.S...let's just say some of us here have long fucking memories.
