I obviously spend to much time there![]()
It's a nice board, I like it. But my "home" is here on the PG.
That's cause that's where all the cool people live ...

Hehe...yep!
*hugs!* MsT, how are you?![]()
I'm just about ready to get it out of the oven and punch it down. That's my favorite part.*hugs*
Feeling better everyday!
I'll be over for some of that pizza later ...

The older daughter is going through the same thing right now. She is tired All. The. Time. But, I remember being the same way so I don't say a whole lot. I would come home from school and sleep until dinner, do my homework, read or hang out with friends, and then sleep all night. If it was the weekend, i'd sleep 'til noon.
Glad you had a good day! I didn't know about your brother, how is he doing?
I put up some Christmassy things with the younger daughter and we made monkey bread. Love that stuff. I made some homemade pizza dough and that is rising in the over, so we'll have pizza for dinner tonight. Otherwise, not much else going on, just enjoying the long weekend.

Thought I'd pop in as the token "uncool" person and see how everyone's been.![]()

I wish your brother well, Jane, and hope he remains comfortable throughout.Yep, it's a teenager thing. Which means one of several things is happening: a) he's sleeping; if not (a), then (b) he's hungry; if not (a) or (b), then he's (c) playing on his phone. God forbid the battery dies on his phone when we're in the car without access to a power source. Then (d) happens: his world comes to a crashing halt!
My bro is hanging in there - the cancer had already spread by the time it was diagnosed, so we're hoping that the chemo can blast the tumors down to manageable size and then he just lives the rest of his life with smaller doses of chemo.
And look at you, making your own pizza dough! Sounds absolutely delicious. The local Straw Hat in town has half off Tuesdays, so every Tues I pick up a large pizza for dinner. The leftovers go into my kid's lunches. I love having the night off from cooking.
LOL! I rarely travel outside the PG, but occasionally I do peek into some other forums.
Hope everyone has a great Tuesday. It's cooling off here this week, with daytime temps not getting out of the 50's. Rain is promised later in the week - yay!

So I waited around here all day for the plumber to come and replace the hot water heater, which has been on death's door for quite a while now. It hasn't gone completely, but it's on the way! They said they'd be here between 8-5 (gotta love that schedule). And they never showed. I called shortly after five and asked for scheduling, only to find out that dept. was closed. So they transferred me to the Parts Dept. I told him what happened and he was all apologetic and took my name and number, etc...and said someone would definitely call me tomorrow. I'm going to ask them if they charge a service call fee, and if they do, I'm going to tell them to remove it. If they say no, I'm calling someone else. I probably should do that anyway, but I'll see what they say tomorrow.
If you lived nearby, I would refer to gladly to my plumber, who runs a small business with a few employees. Super nice people and they do make actual appointments, like "We'll have someone there around 2:00." then they will call me on my cell to give me an update on when the plumber is getting close. Definitely ask them to take off any service call fee for your inconvenience. By the way, I found my plumber by going on Yelp for my area and reading reviews of different plumbing companies.
It has turned very cold for our neck of the woods. Woke up to frosty white rooftops, and temps of 28 degrees at 7:00 a.m. Then as I was taking my kid to school the next town over, temps dropped to 21 degrees, at 8:00 a.m.! I'm sitting in my toasty warm office, not looking forward to having to run various errands today at lunch lol.
(and thank you for your good thoughts for my bro)
Ugh, $920 later it's all fixed. I would've gladly accepted your referral, Jane, thank you! They did apologize profusely for their oversight and there wasn't a service call fee, so no need to argue over than anyway.
Ours has dropped finally, too. It's 19 out right now at 8:00 AM and not going above 25. We're venturing out to get our Christmas tree later this morning. In past years we've gone to a farm up north and cut one, but not this year. Well, we're going to the same place but will pick one of their pre-cuts off their lot. It's just too cold to go slogging around out there. lol! Then we are off to my parents for my mom's birthday.
Have a good weekend!![]()
It's so easy to accumulate stuff and so hard to part with it, I know! lolBrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, not going to get above 25? I wouldn't go slogging around looking for a tree to cut either lol Hope you got a nice one
We finally cleared out a space in our living room last night for our tree. My "spare" room is beginning to look like a hoarder's beginners project. After the first of the year, I am going to start giving away a whole bunch of crap!
Will be picking out a tree this afternoon, probably on my own. Kiddo going to a school basketball game. I have a pot roast cooking away in the crock pot, and we'll be having roast, mashed potatoes and carrots for dinner.
Tomorrow we're having the office Christmas lunch. My favorite "dressy" shoes are some silver sandals. Guess that's not gonna work this yearBlack boots it is!
It's so easy to accumulate stuff and so hard to part with it, I know! lol
Pot roast sounds good on this cold, wintery day! I really need to get some Christmas shopping done, but this weather is making it difficult. I thought maybe the kids would have a snow day, but no. Probably for the best, since if they have more than 2 per winter they end up having to make them up in June, and that really stinks.
Do you bring a dish to pass around to the party? Or do they cater it in?
So what's the result of the great Christmas tree adventure? Did you guys find one? They keep changing the weather - now we aren't supposed to get much from the storm, which is good, I'm not complaining! lol I do hope the snow sticks around for Christmas, after that it can go away. \Well, we went to pick out a tree at a small lot in town, and my son vetoed them all because they weren't big enough. So I guess on Sunday we'll head out to a nearby town where all the Christmas tree farms are, and find a good tall tree.
We never have snow days, so I hadn't thought out how those days have to be made up at the end of the year! Hopefully any snow storms will hold off until winter break
Since we're such a small office (3 of us), we just went out for lunch at a local restaurant. It was very good, except that we are gearing up for a trial next month, so that was the topic of conversation all during lunch.
Fucking cold here too! Lol. Fake tree here! It's Vegas, what do you expect?
