No. No. No. Jane didn't want to believe the talk that Boris told her. She knew her father wasn't perfect but what Boris told her would paint both her father and MI6 as nearly monsters. Oh Jane was totally naive, she'd known that both did rather unscrupulous things when it was necessary but this was just too personal!
Her mother had been killed before she'd even known her to protect a source? It was more then Jane could, or wanted to, beard and she whimpered softly as the tear that drew Boris' attention rolled down her cheek.
The touch of his thumb against her cheek made her jerk sharply and a low growl filled her throat. When he wrapped his arms around her she did indeed scream and thrashed against him. She pummeled his chest with her fists, rage and sorrow at this twist in her life coursing through her. She'd never be able to return to the job she's so adored or look at her father with that same adoring little girl trust again. A small part of her shattered in the new view of the world Boris' revelations had forced on her.
Finally the rage ebbed away leaving only her pain and she collapsed against Boris' chest, her sobbing wrenching her body as her tears soaked the front of his shirt. She cried like a child until she had no more tears left to shed and was simply left trembling against him. The storm past for now as her emotions were spent and she wrapped herself in a cocoon of numbness.
