any other uk'ers watched this?

I am just blown away at what a bunch of miserable simpering whining selfish lazy ingrates these 'kids' are.

I missed it first time around so watching it on E4 now. Fuck. Jamie deserves some kind of medal.

Do you want me to tell you how the series goes?

J/K

J.O. did a great job with commitment in my opinion.

Top man.

No, don't. Although I can guess, and obviously now that the restaurant has been reviewed ad nauseum I know it all turns out okay. But christ, waht a rough time. How many times did I want to reach into the TV and smack some of those little fuckers? What the fuck is wrong with them?

He did great. And he is a good teacher. The guy's taken a lot of shit over the past couple years IMO (seeing as how the English seem to like nothing more than tear successful people to shreds) but he has more than proven himself.

They had to be particularly unemployable kids for good TV.

They don't know how lucky they were to have been offered the chance.

Yes.

RR, this show is, he took on 15 unemployed young adults (narrowed down from hundreds of applicants) to train and then employ them in a new restaurant he was opening. It was an absolute golden opportunity for them, and JO put his reputation and a whole fucking lot of money on the line for the project. And most of these idiot kids fucked it up in some way or another - not showing up for classes or work experience (saying they couldn't afford the fare to attend, even though it was -ahem- paid for for them, whatever), just generally having really shit attitudes.

I get BBC America but haven't seen this show yet. I'll keep my eyes open. I think Jamie is a doll.
