Have you tried the Volunteer Editors program? :)
I hope it worked better for you, min, than it did for me. I tried the volunteer editor's program and got ignored by five different people. I would recomend starting a thread in the editor's forum or checking the threads already there for editors who are advertising for stories to edit.

When was that thread TC? I've been sick for the past couple of days and haven't been there much so I didn't see it.

Unless you're referring to the thread you started on the 12th and then ended on the 12th also?

In any case, let me apologize on behalf of any editors who've done you wrong :(

Oh no, LadyC. I didn't mean in the Editor's forum, dear. I was specificlly speaking of a time...long, long ago...in a writing style far, far away from where I am now(back in November ;) ), when I was trying to use the Volunteer Editor program. You know, where you go and punch in the sort of editor that you're looking for and it'll give you this long list of all the people who meet the criteria you've chosen and then you can email them. I sent out several emails through that feature of Lit and never got a responce from any of them.

No, I'm certain that I would have gotten at least a couple takers from that thread that I started in the EF if I hadn't found out that I wasn't going to be needing help after all. That's why I reposted and let you guys know that the need had passed. I knew that someone would resond and I didn't want any of you busy folks to be bothered where there was no longer a need. That's why I was directing this thread starter there. I knew they'd find the help they needed. It might take a day or two, because the EF isn't swapmed with people all the time like the GB and the AH, but that's definitely the place to go if you need some quality help with editing garbage into art.

You'd be settling up with the wonderfully talented and smart and kind and forgiving (major ass kissing going on here!!) and beautiful, Miss RogueLurker. :D She's the bestest ever, and works miracles on my boy-boinky-boy stories. ;) But you might already know that since you said "her".

Very true. And I will definitely seek help from them again one day soon. When my thoughts and life are settled and I am able to write the story I truly want.

Well, until you're able to write the story that you truely want, you should writeother things. The practice and learning experiences will carry over and make the story that you're dying to tell even better in the end. :D

So I hope. Appreciate the encouragement. :)

Yep :D I knew Rogue was your editor extraordinaire. Us, in the secret editor's society, have signs and codes to know who's working with who. :D

Phew...good thing Rogue told me
