Yes JAIL, it is the computer I bought last March.
I took it back where I bought it one previous time. The attitude was "We Can't Find anything wrong with it"
I don't have the skills or savvy to fix all of the problems, which include
1.Cannot use my Nero Start Smart any more. When I go to burn a VCD or CD, I get a Pop-Up telling me “Hardware Accelaration is De-Activated. Some capture devices may not work properly. You can activate Hardware Accelaration using the Direct X Diagnostic tool.” I did NOT de-activate anything.
2.It no longer scrolls properly, when I scroll down a page, it wavers.
3.I shut down the computer, making sure I had exited all applications, closed all files. When I tried to turn it back on, it refused to let me, saying there was a problem with the C-Drive. 6 hours later, I got it up and running, but .... ?
4.I had been working on a disc, exited the file, turned the computer off for a time. When I turned the computer on, put in the same disc, it opened a totally DIFFERENT set of files that were on another disc. All the data on the disc had been erased and replaced.
5.The “Stand By” function on the Start Menu no longer functions.
6.When sent a file over the Internet with a moving picture or a link, most times I can no longer get those to open.
7.When I try to play a VCD I have made on the Computer, it will not play with sound.
8.Speed at which it performs most functions is considerably slower, despite Compressing Data on a regular basis
9.I have tried re-booting the computer to see if any of these problems disappear, they do not. A previous problem, all of my VCD / CDs being out of synch or inaudible, temporarily corrected itself, but now Nero doesn't function. When I try to download picture files, I have to do them by opening the file every time, it doesn't remain open.
10.At certain times, functions like my Spell Check, Cut & Paste, Copy & Paste will not function, other times they will.
I am just getting more and more upset and despite my love for LIT, I can't deal with this anymore.

No - AMD 64, I believe.
Regardless, if I take it back - which I will - I get blank stares from the idiots who sold it to me, like "What do you expect from us?" The original owner of the company sold it to these clods.
Nor do I have the funds to fix it and make it work right - nor should I have to pay out, as it is under a year old.

Somedays, I think it might have been simpler just to write at home on my old [ ancient ] system and transfer it to LIT on the library computers. I would miss the Internet though, but this makes me so sad, I can't bear it.

JAIL Hon - if I take it back, I am going to get blank stares and no help - and nothing.
No money, nothing. No refund. I will lose all my files.
I cannot afford a new one, so even if I wanted a Dell, I won't be getting one. And there aren't any guarantees this won't happen on a DELL system, the one I bought is considered good by some I know.
I'd like them to fix it, but I doubt they will know how.
So if it goes back, I am computer-less for a long, long time. I just thought people should know.
