no good news at the dr yesterday!!!her iron level is back in the danger zone, way too low!!this dr still says its from loss of blood which i think he is nuts, they have tested all areas of that and nothing shows up!! i was soo pissed when we left!!now we have to make some major decisions, she needs more iron infusions, but due to the hardness in her arms the only way she can to it is to have a port surgically put in, which there is a great risk involved there, so we have to decide!! hope yu ladies have a great day!! hugs!!!!!!

{{{{{{{{{{{{{Ljmo}}}}}}}}}}}}I am so sorry that you have to make that decision. If it helps any, my sister had a port surgically put in her chest, and it was a lifesaver. Everything was done through it and it saved a lot of stress for her. No matter what, decisions have their pros and cons so all I can suggest is to go with what your gut tells you.

thanks to both you fine ladies!! we have so many dr's involved its hard to know what to do, going to talk to our main dr in St Louis today and get her thoughts, the surgeon is a little afraid of things not healing like they should, but he says he will do it if he gets the ok from the main dr!! and it also depends on how the tests come out next week on her heart and lungs!! too many things to think about right now!! thanks again!! hugs!!!

I know your frustration only too well. My wife went to her internist yeaterday and he is talking about surgery to find out why she is having so much pain and what the big lump is that she has in her groin. She will be seeing her surgeon next week for a consult. She has also had problems with IV due to fragile veins and having had so many of them already. Earlier this year her anesthieologist in Denver talked about putting in a port in order to start her IVs. We had decided to go ahead with the procedure when they found out that she was not going to have to have more procedures. We will pray for both of you to make the right decision and also that everything will go right if that is what you decide. Also warm hugs coming your way.

{{{{{{{{{Ljmo}}}}}}}}}]I know how hard everything is for you both right now but try to just live in the moment with each other and take each Dr. appointment as it comes. No use worrying about what is to come.

There is this phrase "Where thoughts go, energy flows" that really stuck with me. Ever since that phrase stuck with me, I have learned to change my thoughts when I start to think negative thoughts. It has proven to me that I handle things so much better than before and I believe it even has changed my luck as well.

{{{{{{{{{{{{Bob}}}}}}}}}}}I am trusting that the Dr.'s will find the reason for your wife's pain. With that knowledge, maybe they will be able to help her better which in turn might help you as well. Keep the faith.

It is so sweet of you to say so. I could say the same thing for you and everyone else that comes to this thread!

I hope things are going well for you, sweetheart. My days are longer. I didn't even get home until 7:45 pm last night but I didn't mind because there were some people that needed help that had toothaches. One was in a wheelchair that had been in a car accident years ago. She said the positive thing about that is since the accident, she has photographic memory. It was so weird that I spoke about thinking positive yesterday morning and here she was last night affirming it for me. She was so sweet.

I think the rest did the trick. It is a good thing because the phones were busy yesterday.

When you have those long waits is there a book you may like to read or something like that? I like to take crossword puzzles with me when I have to wait. It makes the time go faster.

good morning, hope yu have a wonderful day!! we talked to the heart dr last night and he said that whatever is going on with her heart is not serious, there was a little change but not much, he says have the surgery and get her iron level up and things should be ok with her heart!! hugs!!
