Jacqline said:{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Toni}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}My son is a professional bowler and I used to be a semi professional bowler so please take this advice from me. Do not buy a ball from Wal Mart or Kmart or somewhere like that. They do not know how to drill them. The drilling is the most important part. It has to fit Daniel's hand or there would be no reason for him to have his own ball. Please buy it and have them drill it at the pro shop at the bowling alley. Starting balls are usually not terribly expensive. They usually are good with the younger ones. I would try to get him into a Junior leage. They give them lessons for free.

That's what planning on doing. My mom had won a bowling ball, when her and dad were on a bowling league, but never had the holes drilled in it. It is about 12 lbs which is pretty good for him. Dad said that we could get the holes drilled for me or Daniel. The guy that does the drilling is just there in the evening, but they are going to look into it. Dad used to be on bowling leagues when we were kids and we spent every Thu in smoky, bowling alley doing our homework and being around alot of guys drinking.
It was ok, but not alot of fun for a kid hanging around and they would not finish until about 1am and then have to go home and then get up early to go to school. But they have some leagues for the summer only. Some have adults and youth combined. There is one on Tues night that we could all do. And they also have Sat. leagues for kids. They went to the one that is closest to home, but there is a nicer one that is not very far off and I am going to be calling them today and see what can find out.
Ya'll have a good weekend. Take care.
