I have wanted to do it for a long time but had to figure out a way to do it. She only has a CD player in her bedroom (they play classical music to her sometimes) and I had to figure out a way to be able to record it. Someone told me that there may be software I could get online to do it so I sought it out. I got a very good microphone and was able to tape it on CD quality. I plan on doing more for her.

I used to read to my Grandson all the time, so I didin't want to miss this opportunity with her. After a month of being lost at the lab, the photos I took in Denver in July have finally been found. I will be able to enclose them with her present. (If they try to charge me for the pictures, they are going to get quite a fuss from me!)

It was great! It was fun. All the kids loved it. My cousin Doug, had never been and he liked it also. The food was alot better this time and I think there was more of it. But since I had not eaten all day I ate every bite, lol. First they bring out the soup, vegetable soup, but it didn't have any veggies or they put it in a blender or something so you could eat it without a spoon, it is served in a bowl with a handle, there is no eating utensils, and then they bring out garlic bread and then 1/2 a roasted chicken, a spare rib and 1/2 a baked potato but they toast it or something because it does not fall apart and you can eat it with your hands. You get your choice of iced tea or Pepsi and you can get 2 glass fulls. The cup looks big, but it really isn't. Then they bring some warm wet towels to clean your hands and then they offer coffee to go with the dessert which was like a fried apple pie. It is like Old English, like the King Arthur days. And they talk saying things like me lady, Lord whoever, and the Knights, etc.. the horses are great. They had them doing the high stepping walk and they walk sideways, etc.. and there was a falcon that they let loose and flew above. and then they had jousting contests and then the knights would have duels to see who the greatest one was. You could tell it was not real, but it was still really cool. Our knight won but then the guy doing the judging and talking to the king, etc...betrayed him and killed our guy and the knight that the princess wanted to marry, of course, won. Chad was determined that he was NOT going to like it and he wanted to stay at home and play with friends. Daniel told him that he GUARANTEED him that he would like it and if he didn't he would pay him $5, I don't know where he was planning on getting the money, but Chad liked it. I told him that my friend had the same birthday as him and that she told me to give him a birthday hug and he was ok, but you could tell he wasn't too used to it. I didn't push it alot. He was knighted, I don't know how much that cost, alot. Everything there was expensive. You could buy souvenoirs and alcoholic drinks if you wanted to. But we were all broke. They named everyone that was there celebrating b-days and anniversaries, there was a couple of cheerleading groups, one couple was there celebrating their engagement, and there were some business that I think were there for their Christmas party. It is a fun place to go for special occassions but you have to be prepared to put out alot of money. But it is your dinner nad entertainment together.

Chad went to a birthday party yesterday, that was the first one he had ever been to! Daniel's mentor called yesterday and he is leaving to go back home,W. VA for the holidays and so he wanted to know if Daniel was free after school he came and picked him up and they are going to eat somewhere and go to a movie. He is supposed to be home between 8-9. He had a little bit of homework, he was working on it but didn't finish. So I hope they get home early!

I am glad it all went so well and that Chad let you hug him for me. It is so great that Daniel has a mentor. I hope that they have a wonderful time tonight.

After almost a month, Bartell's FINALLY found my pictures that they had lost. I am going to send them to my daughter with the Birthday stuff for my Granddaughter. It is from the baby's Christening and my trip to Denver just before her surgery. There is one in particular where the baby has her one hand in the dog's water dish and is looking at me with the biggest smile on her face that grabbed my heart. I think I will frame that one. {It was very hot that day}.

I know they will love your present. I know it must be hard not having them near by. But I am also very sure that she loves her grandmother very much. Hope things are going well for you. Daniel did have a nice time the other night. They went and had dinner and then went to see a movie, Christmas with Cranks, or whatever the name is the one with Jamie Lee Curtis and Tim Allen. He wanted to go see Ocean's Twelve but I told him not to because I have free passes and we were going to go see it. (he wanted to see it twice!) but he enjoyed the movie and said that I would probably like it too! He was sick yesterday, but went to school today. He gets out for the holidays Friday.

It is definitely starting to get colder every day. I am glad things are coming along well for you. After today, we have one more day of work and have the rest of the week off. Our work Christmas celebration will be Thursday night. It should be fun.
