I've moved House! I've moved from Brighton to Norwich, it took me quite a while but im here now.

Ive moved from a VERY sexually aware city to one that is more repressed. or so i think. looks like a trip to yahoo to find the local munch.

futher more...Ive moved in with the bloke. this is the first time in a while that Ive lived with a guy, and this is my first D/s live in, so it might all go horribly wrong!

Ive also moved from a flat to a house and have so far fallen down the stairs twice, once resulting in a 6x5 inch bruise, and once in a sprained ankle. and ive only been here a week. sheesh.

Anyhoo, we dont have broadband in the wilds of norfolk yet so i cant be here as much as Id like, but any suggestions about moving house, living with a Dom, making new munchie friends, or simply words of wisdom would be appreciated

xxxx

Wishing you luck and happiness tassie! Moving is a big pain so you have my sympathy.

I don't know, from your post, what type of power exchange you have incorporated into your relationship, but I am around if you need an ear. It can be really tough moving into a 24/7 PE, especially if it is your first live-in d/s relationship.

*smiles* to Tassie

what can I say ?

just a huge HUG

and one hint: don't forget to flip the lid back down on the loo at night *winks*

Good luck!

thanks everyone, at the *moment* it's a largely "bedroom" thing, im still a relative novice to this all, but I do want it to become 24/7 eventually.

Thanks for your kind thoughts all, I'll keep ya posted!

any suggestions about moving house
I've still got seven boxes in my living room to unpack - and i moved in here at the beginning of April. I've got no right to offer anyone any advice about moving. Sorry.
living with a Dom
Kinda like living with any man: find out what kind of beer he likes and keep it in the fridge. Don't run out of milk (for midnight cereal runs). And keep your sanitary supplies behind everything else under the sink; that stuff squicks most men for some reason.
making new munchie friends
You gotta actually go to the munches, darlin', to make the friends. I keep telling R that...
simply words of wisdom
Oh man - slam us with the hard question at the end, when we're all tired out from the first ones!
:p

Good luck tassie

The only advise I have is honesty and no head games....get to know your new home and His ways at the speed that is right for you both.

Congratulations on this wonderful new journey.

Congratulations and good luck Tassie... I dont have much wisdom to offer yet... but you have my best wishes for your future!

SweetD

Big difference Tassie in the two towns :)

(AT least Blue will not be able to threaten us with each other any longer! lol)

Take your time building the new relationship.

Keep the lines of communication open!

Ohhh and perhaps remeber where the stairs are? Put the light on? Hold the banister?

(((hugs)))

Let us know how the munch (if any goes)
Robuck and I haven't plucked up the courage to attend a London one yet.

You fell down the stairs TWICE?

i really think you should have hired a stunt double after the first time. Poor baby :(

i wanted to send my congratulations, encouragement, and let you know how glad i am that you're back with us.

i also wanted to give you a peek at my latest av. i was inspired by a different thread to scan some of my "early years" pix.

Welcome back!
Blue

Tassie dear, I am so very happy for you.

A new adventure... just one of many in your life to come...

I wish you the best and this is all you want it to be!

:rose:

We've had an exciting day today buying a washing machine and enrolling in the library! Thanks for all the help, we've also ordered a bed with a head and foot board with tying up potential! We've heard the baby next door though so I think in order to avoid social services we'll have to keep the noises down a bit :(

I'm very excited still, we're going to get rats next month (!) I'm very happy.

Blue? LOVE the av! and willow is no longer close enough to threaten me with :D from 3/4 of an hour away to 3 hours if you drive fast!!!!

thanks all xxxxxx

You're going to get...RATS?!

You don't have any rats now, but you're getting some next month, and you're HAPPY about this?

Would you like a side order of cockroaches for the rats to eat? Do the parents of the baby know that you're bringing rats into the building?

Have you got a belfry? i have some lovely BATS in mine. i'd send you some, but they'd probably die in a cage at customs.

Could you possibly elucidate? My wheels are whirring.

Blue

ok, Im going to get 2 pedigree pet rats that will live in a cage in our spare bedroom. they will both be girls, so there will be no unexpected baby rats!

They are intelligent, beautiful animals and i cant wait!

I will not be leaving a load of food waste outside and inviting rats in that way:D

they're cool blue, trust me:cool:

i know, luv!

i AM actually a big rat FAN! i have been since about 1969 when i read a book called "Ratman's Notebooks". It was later turned into a movie called "Ben".

i was just teasing you, and Heaven forbid i should cast aspersions on your housekeeping. i don't call my room "The Batcave" for nothing.

i've always loved their intelligence, and i hope they give you great joy!

You must tell me when they develop personality traits. That does require real interaction, but the fact that you're looking forward to their arrival so much indicates that you will play with them.

Any names planned?

Blue

My daughter had a couple of rats once ... I just couldn't have them in the house. They had to go back to the shop :(

Hamsters are about my limit when it comes to rodents, I've found. (And our cat was terified of them!)

I like the name maisie, there's a kids book over here with a mouse called maisie and she's really cool. i am definitely up for suggestions on a second name though.

my mum is terrified of them too willow, i dont think she'll be playing with them any time soon! I hope the dog gets used to them too (luckily he's not the terrier type!)

Hmmm...i might have a suggestion

The first time i heard the name Maisie, it was in a book by Dr. Suess. (one of my favorite authors for my whole LIFE)

The book was about an elephant named Horton and how he hatches an EGG! An egg which was the original property of a bird named Maizie,(slight variant) who wanted a vacation from sitting on the egg.

She conned Horton into sitting on it, which he did, through some awful adventures, always chanting his poem of integrity:

I meant what I said,
and I said what I meant.
An elephant's faithful,
One hundred per cent!

Good book for adults too! But it might be amusing to name them Horton and Maisie, for different reasons. (both of them books)

See who catches the obscure reference.

Always Thinking,
Doctor Blue

Tassie I hope your new living arrangements will be very happy. I like Blue's name suggestions for your Rats. Of course, if they're both girls, Horton might be a bit masculine.
