i've decided to be healthy

This is a good idea if you really do have bad knees.

A key to being fit is changing your eating habits. Long term. It is a lot easier said than done.
yup, but the pools here are stupidly overpriced. it sux *pout*
i'm using a resistance band to build some knee strength...feels a lot easier on the joints than jogging.

the eating stuff is easy. i was raised by a hippy, so never developed a taste for processed foods. i prefer fresh. fatty makes me gag.

it's not a pretty image, lol.
Ya it is. All the dogs chasing you around the park with their noses constantly bumping your crotch. Dolf throwing off the fox hunt during her walk in the woods. It would be a riot.

Kyle knows his stuff, he's a stipper from some african-american blue oyster bar.

the pool is a must considering summer is upon us!

best part of kicboxing is doing knee-to-elbow touches with one leg and then switching to the other. if you have a rope or some kinda limbo stick you can basically bob-and-weave, side-to-side under it whilst adding a little squat/lunge. there's plenty of kickboxing cardio dvds out there.

p.s when walking up hills watch out for creepy hawian shirt wearing stalkers behind a newspaper with viewable holes.

so...

i'm eating tons of fruit, whole grains, bio yoghurts etc.
i'm drinking loads of water.
i'm doing an hour of yogalates every day and three hours of brisk walking {my dog is starting to resent me}.

people who are already healthy, come share your wisdom!
if you don't post i'll :insert mwf style abstrat threat: you

Being healthy and in shape is important for me and my jobs. Jogging, cycling and swimming are the best exercises. Less salt intake and drink more water. Also our body needs proper rest.

I try to avoid sitting too long in front of the TV set or the computer.

Lastly, do not forget the spiritual side. Meditation and relaxing and listening to soothing ambient music is food for the soul.

i do a lot of meditating.
i've got insomnia, and when i can't sleep i figure meditation is the next best thing.
also, midday, after the yogalates stuff.

hmmm...been sitting at the comp for over an hour...but i need my giulty pleasures

that looks a lot more fun than what i've been doing.

Maybe worth a try, its all the rage in Africa.....

The only reason I have to eat healthy is so that when women taste my cum their eyes will no longer start to water.

*bites into smoked rabbit sandwich*

breakfast t5oda was a spoonful of live yugurt, a handful of strawberries and a banana, all smoothied up.
'twas yummy & filling.

si i guess i'm still doing healthy :)

found a cardio box dvd that i like. 30 minutes, 3 times a week. *does scary pose & kicks air*
still walking for about three hours/day. doing the yogalates every other day to keep myself nice & bendy.

i've found that, now i've cut them out of my diet, if i eat candy it's a really nasty rush...makes my head swim.

FOUR HOURS of daily exercise!?! Daaaaaaaaamn. Good for you! I personally wouldn't be able to keep a routine like that going for more than two days with my schedule, but if you can stick with it, more power to you.

I'm trying to eat at least two vegetables with every meal in lieu of lots of starches. You have no idea how appealing it is to eat pasta every day (I make it ahead of time and freeze it so I can just microwave after work).

HELLO, MY NAME IS JAMMIE!

I've been trying to get healthy after someone kindly suggested I (told me to) do it. I've basically removed all sugars and snacks from diet, no more tea either as it's crap without sugar (and I don't have milk in it anyway). Two bowls of rice crispies tend to get me through the day til supper which has always been fairly healthy, lunch is pointless. This shit with bio yoghurts is pointless too, fuck that. Been doing this for over a month now, to be honest I'm pretty sure it's not working.. but anyway. At first it was rubbish, absolutely starving constantly, but not it's easy peasy.. and what's great is rather than crave certain foods I now want to vomit at the very thought of them!

Exercise - not so good on that front.. uhh, it's basically just a bit of hard work, innit? Yes yes, I do realise that's the idea.. but still. Will probably go walkies for an hour to an hour and a half today though.

i'm making it my top priority at the moment...i figure healthy body leads to healthy mind.
the walking is easy...it's an hour to walk to the school & back if i go back through town. in the afternoon i walk the dog around the edges of the common {park} before heading towards the school...so it's mostly just switching from car to foot with the school run.

smoothies are saving me! :D
i posted my fave meal in another thread...stuff sweet peppers/mushrooms/courgettes woth cous cous and top with goats cheese before baking. i'm getting rather addicted to that one lately!
throwing beans & nuts & seeds into all the salads is stopping them from getting dull for me.

i'm actually really enjoying the food.
